That’s a load of crap for a need of a credit check to test ride the new models. I hit 2 Harley dealers in my area the past few weeks and demoed 3 of the 2018s and didn’t get a credit check. The one thing I was a little disappointed in last week’s demo days was the lack of the full 2018 line up. I wanted to test ride a Low Rider and Breakout and they didn’t have either one so I just rode the Soft Tail Slim. My other complaint was the test ride was right about 15 minutes which was way too short. It was overcast so I didn’t know if that played a part in the duration of the test ride to stay close in case it started raining.
Hi Dave, I'm about to pull the trigger on a 2016 Fat Bob. I went to my local dealer a week ago and did a couple test rides (not during a demo day). All they did was photocopy my DL and had me sign a waiver. Took me to the bike(s) and said have a nice ride. I didn't have a ride lead. I just went on my merry way. Your speedo, the V&H slip-ons, and FP3 are the only upgrades I'm planning immediately. I can't go too loud on the pipes as I leave for work before 6:00 AM. My neighbors would not appreciate it.
Worst thing I did was demo a '18 Ultra Limited. Blows my '15 UL away in just about every respect. Can't stop thinking about it. Damn. Gotta stay away. Ride safe!!
Harley Dave, went to Stubbs Harley here in Houston and picked up a set of mini-floorboards gloss black for my '16 Fatbob which I like a lot. Very comfy on my feet much better than pegs. I also got the mirror extenders in black which help to see around my shoulders when I'm in traffic. While there, I checked out the 2018 Fatbob. Didn't fit me like the earlier years. Can't say I really liked much about it. Your earlier review was right on man. Don't know why they even call it a Fatbob. Thanks for the videos.
I'd love to see a video about your new floorboards. For some reason, I got some negative comments about my thoughts of the Fat Bob. I mean, it's just my opinion. LOL Thanks for watching!
Visited the local Harley dealership to check out the Fat Bob. I liked it but too much money for the bike. As you know, I own a 2014 Fat Bob and I am going to keep "Faithful" (bikes name) until the wheels fall off! lol. If I had tons of money I would get a Breakout. Take care my friend and very interesting vlog!
I reallllly love Betty and have NO intention of getting rid of her anytime soon. Yeah, the Breakout is a fantastic looking bike. Matt Laidlaw did a video recently of that bike with Apes and it looked awesome!!! I'm pretty sure I didn't like my test ride because the suspension was torqued down....
Damn a credit check to ride a bike... thats nuts! Around here though they won't demo anything, only chance to ride would be at a test our metal event or demo day put on by harley canada
Nowdays a credit check does not lower your credit score like it used to. Call Experian or any of the other 2 credit reporting agencies to verify. Don't just take someone's word. I didn't, and called them. RSMB.
Wow, the is the most absurd requirements that I have heard from a Harley dealer, so arrogant!...how many nearby dealers in your area? Here in Socal, Harley Dealers are dime a dozen and they will almost beg you to test ride one...that did not happened several years ago, but I guess down sales figure changes all... On a different note: I just noticed your dual combined speedo and tech and was going to ask some feedback in terms of how you like it compared to the factory stock gauge? Thanks for sharing
