During WW2 up to 6 million citizens of Poland were killed (3 million of Polish Jews and 2-3 million Poles) by Germans. Only minority of perpetrators belonged to national socialist party NSDAP. In four years after the end of war only about 4500 war criminals were sentenced by Allies. In FRG and GDR hundred thousans of war and genocide German /Austrian perpetrators were living. It is estimated that in 13 000 000 civilians (all countries and ethnic groups) killings participated up to 500 000 Germans and Austians (most of them from Wehrmacht and other non-SS units like Police of different kind).
