First aired on April 10th, 1978. Network t.v. movie. In my opinion, a very well-made police drama, Joe Don Baker giving a brilliant portrayal, battling criminals and political sabotage from within the administration, more worried about careers than public safety, along with stellar performances by all supporting cast. A top-notch grade A network movie of the week. I loved it.
I would like to thank you for putting some great single season episodes like this and the 9 episode James Garner Man of the people. There is one series I started from another channel a series with James Garner I cannot remember the full title Murphy series ran for 24 episodes I just got into two episodes before RU-vid pulled the channel down and all its content . In any Countries Police are their own Enemies, after retirement they even deny their attachment, friendship, intentionally can not remember each other also, my experience
Yeah. It ran for only one season in 1980, broadcast on NBC at 10PM EST on Fridays. I watched a few episodes, but I remember the series name was EISHIED, after the main character.
