What are these fools waffling about here? No average manager can lead England to a :- World Cup Semi-final A World Cup Quarter-final Both culminating in a loss to eventual Runners-up and back-to-back Euro Finals, the best performance ever in the team's history where they gave a fight against the eventual Champions. I know Southgate's football is lackluster to say the least but he gets the job done, unmistakably the 2nd best England manager ever. Let's say if England appoint quote-on-quote good manager and plays beautiful football but somehow always lose in QFs. At that point, do you rate that manager to be higher or lower in quality than Southgate? A manager's legacy is determined by how far he can lead his team to glory. Players also need to step up a bit as well.
Take him out .. playing defensive needs a fast players to get the conter attack . U should play bowen in saka place and gordon in foden place at the second half ..
One has to feel bad for guys like Southgate and Kane and the team. I don't want England to win (because of the horrible fans) but two finals in a row is almost too cruel even for Pengland

People here be bashing England this and that. Not knowing it wasn’t for them who stood along and strong in WW2, we wouldn’t be here today. For those who are basing Southgate, England wasn’t merely a contender 20 years. Now they’re steadily improving their performance to reach finals, they still complain lol
People are talking about football, not politics and war. Any genuine England fan will forever remember the piss poor football that we played under Southgate, and the crazy luck that got us to a completely undeserved final. Most England fans never expected to beat Spain. The best team in the tournament vs the luckiest team in the tournament, there was only ever going to be one outcome.

I’m not English but even I’ve been made aware of England because for the past years under Southgate. The last time I was paying attention to English football it was David Beckham playing for Man United under Sir Alex Ferguson lol. So nah give England what they deserve which is progress ffs lol

That's why I can say that the sentiment amongst the majority of the English fanbase is that this team has massively underperformed (note: PERFORMED). The results are due to lucky moments and having easier groups/routes to the latter stages of the most recent international tournaments. Bear in mind that this is an England team that consists of world class players (at club level) in practically every position. On the pitch, we have been among the worst teams in every tournament. So, until we start playing better football, most English fans aren't going to cut the national side any slack. Southgate holds the majority of the blame because it is undoubtedly his tactics and game management style that has led to this team underperforming (note: PERFORMING) so severely.
@@Heskeyali1 I hear you. My English friends told me no one likes Southgate which is so shocking for me to hear. Even though I’m not English. I do watch English leagues games often. I’m aware England has top notch players but as you know players play with their club mates more than their own national team mates. National games are always tricky because they don’t usually have enough time to practice playing as a team. Why do you think Portugal has CR7 and still lost. What I’m not understanding is why English people are so against their own national team, severely critical of their own national coach when Three Lions lost. I’m Australian, but I support England every game except where they play against my own country of course. Many Australians over here support England. We here in Australia, whenever our national football teams lost to another country, (our women team lost to England at the WC semi final) we still gathered support around the players and the coach. We’re proud of their players reaching that far. It’s easy to judge the players and the coach like we know better by just watching through TV. I can’t imagine not supporting my own country regardless of whether they win or not. But each to its own!
The moment you guys start being humble, not overrate players and respect your opponent - you may win a tournament. Your attitude is the only reason why most people are against England... not your league, not your players... your attitude.
Actually, it's the style of football is the cause of hate from the fans. Perhaps non-England fans hate the attitude, but England fans couldn't care less. We just want to see our team play positive football, and our players to live up to their club form.
