Nice plan for making the most of a 3 day binge observing Hi-Fi gear. Thanks for taking the time to make it a better experience for those of us (me) with much less experience going into this.

Thank you for a well considered post. As you said, it's not easy setting up a room in hours and exhibiting, often with products you've never used before. I was co-exhibitor some years back and the large suite was lackluster at best. Very disappointing. Fortunately the amp died Sunday morning. I hardly knew Jeff Rowland, but had seen him around. I went to him and asked if he had a spare amp we could borrow. He did, and the room came to life beautifully. Nearly all the industry folks are like that, happy to help another "competitor". Great advice. I enjoyed my Toronto Audiofest trip this year. I attended on Sunday for 2hrs and spent nice time in 5 rooms. To prepare, I watched Jason's streaming tour for Friday and Saturday (Audiophile Junkie). This gave me a plan for where I wanted to spend my time. It was great.

This will be my third Axpona, my protip is to start on the 16th floor and work your way down to avoid the congested elevators.

Tiny speakers sound tiny. Tiny woofers (6.5") can't make loud, natural base. Two 15" woofers per speaker don't have to work hard to make LOUD natural bass. Tiny speakers can sound good at low volume (my planar magnetic headphones sound awesome).

I always sit off centre, and back a row or two, before I go to the sweet spot. It allows a reference point. Did the imaging improve/change, bass, treble, clarity, soundstage, what is different and what, & why could it have improved/changed.
