Oh come on now. He is literally shooting lasers from their eyes, won't you asume their body is strong enough? Plus he's been training the moment it manifested in him.
@@FelipeMC-nc6qkhonestly wouldn't want to see them in the current MCU. Magneto is a holocaust survivor, which doesn't make sense in 2024+ and I'd question why some of strongest beings in all of the universe just ignored Thanos. I'd love to see them I'm Insomniac games, though, that'd be goated
Thats partly the actor james marsden's fault. He was supposed to play a major role in x men 3 but instead he chosed to play the third party in superman returns. So his character was killed off
Finally. Always found him awesome in the 90s, but he never got the respect he deserved. Everyone was Wolverine dick riding back then. He was awesome. Gambit too
When they do the live action movies/series they need to change it to "On me X-Men!" Or "X-Men... On me!" Military parlance just feels right considering who he is to the xmen and less corny than the old comic saying
funny enough this is a cooler version compared to the one you grew up with since the old one barely did a lot in comparison to this new and improved one.
@@MMZERO9 Norm never got his Avengers Assemble moment, but Ray played that line exactly like I imagine Norm would have. He honors Norm with this performance. On an entirely related note, Scott is kicking so much butt on this version of the show. This is the Scott I always wanted. Slim is my dude.
No, he is indeed immune to the kinetic energy generated by his optic blasts but can control the inertia feedback of the beam on his body to move around. Unless he want to let it affect him, that kinetic energy is reabsorbed into the dimension.
At first I thought "Why the hell would laser beams break a fall?" Then I researched his ability and it's actually controlled concussive blasts that can push anything and anyone.
yeah his eyes are portals to a dimension that's entirely kinetic force his beams aren't lasers, they're light made of punching from the punch dimension
That’s how he’s able to blast people without killing them, they’re basically ranged punches. Though he can also adjust the density and size of the beam to cut things, similar to water.
fun fact: Cyclops"va (Ray Chase) also voiced voiced Extraction Pilot also He's The Voice he is also the voice of Noctis, Bruno Bucciarati and more recently Neuvillette
While this scene is absolutely badass, I love how they showcased his CQC skills aginst the FOH thugs. People always forget Cyclops isn't just big beam boy. He can throw hands with the best of them.
i wish there was this kind of animation for invincible as well, at least in the later seasons instead of that generic dc looking style, if they could find a way to implement the sharp looking lineart of the comics and add some kind of unique coloring it would be amazing
Likewise, same as having strong telepath touch their temple to do anything, having to touch the switches to adjust optic blasts stop being cool after a while and looks odd next to Charles hoverchair.. After their trip in the Shi'ar Empire the X-Men came back with some of their technology, Hank used it to upgrade the mansion, the X-Jet and the Danger Room to a full hard light environmental simulation. Normally by that point Cyclops visor should be operated by synaptic control, with conventional switches for backup.
@@XainfinenThe visor is actually controlled by his gloves. That's why they're the same color. It's all tech that feeds the amount of force be uses. There's also a manual override when he just sports the visor without the full battle armor. (It's light weight armor not yellow spandex).
@@SSJRadioBluth Yes, I know. When they portray him touching his visor, it's mainly for the sake of making it look cool. The gloves are what he predominantly use.
as someone who didnt grow up watching the originals, i really thought they were gonna make this scene more MCU by having cyclops joke about being forgotten. this is way better. bravo
Imagine if Gambit had full control of his powers, he'd just put his hands on the ground and turn the earth into a giant bomb. (Ps this happened in an alternate timeline)
So when I was growing up I never read the comics but it was the time when all the x-men movies were coming out and lemme just say they did cyclops absolutely no justice in those films. So seeing this cyclops is really impressive how he uses his laser instead of just being confused the entire movie lol
Cyclops has control over the inertial feedback of his beam, so he can let it affect him or not, otherwise he is totally immune to the kinetic energy they generate.
It's concussive blasts instead of heat vision in case you didn't know. It's not meant to burn and destroy instantly. And we can also control it's intensity so he's obviously not using "mountain hole punchy" force here lmao. Oh and , this is fiction. Not science . Fiction
I think Cyclops has a mini field around his skin absorbing force into another dimension, giving himself immunity to the force effects of his blasts. He can turn off this field when he wants. When he punches through a mountain, he has the field on, here he has it off, so it essentially only creates normal contact force with the earth, decelerating Cyclops
I've never seen cyclops so badass. His powers were always a bit off for me but the way he uses them is so versatile in the show. For the first time im actually sold on his powers
He most likely can control its recoil as part of his power since earlier fighting thugs he could shoot while standing still or get pushed back as a way to move around
