I've been watching RU-vid videos for the last couple of weeks on this topic, and this is by far the most detailed and well put together video that I've seen. I've subscribed to your channel and looking forward to watching your older videos.
Thank you! I’m glad you liked it, welcome onboard, I try my best to improve with every video so I’m keen to know if you see the difference between the older videos and the recent ones. Looking forward to your feedback. Cheers!
A superior review. Comprehensive and entertaining to boot. You are a very talented video editor. Thank you for putting in so much effort to make this quality video.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review my review video :) These kind words of encouragement mean a lot to me and keep me motivated. I really appreciate you! Have a nice day mate!
I agree. Dude needs to be more known than yammie noob lol he just doesn't giveaway 100 bikes to kids in America once or twice a month(huge reason his channel grew, over 500k worth or bikes) but in terms of content, your channel is ligit man. Love how much u live bikes(especially that yamaha cafe racer u had, my fave looking yammie)
@DCweldingAndArt Thanks man! Much love! I’ve been watching Yammie for a while, he started off as a cocky yet entertaining squid. But lately I’ve noticed he’s matured and makes a lot of sensible recommendations and comments which I’m quite glad to see. I hope I remind you of his recent version haha! And even though I don’t have the means to give away bikes but I am trying my best to make more videos since this is a mix of a bunch of things I love - bikes, cameras, numbers and stories.
Very good review my friend, you've smartly (maybe inadvertently) covered several topics which haven't been mentioned by more "serious" reviewers ... keep it going! - Cheers from Chennai
Thank you sir. I appreciate the love and appreciation. Everything I’ve done in the video is deliberate, only inadvertent things would be minor mistakes here and there. Cheers!
Thank you for doing this. I'm thinking about a Royal Enfield for my next bike and your thorough comparison really helps. I've been leaning towards the Shotgun as it's a mid-mount cruiser and I'm not worried about speed. Your channel and videos are excellent and are always entertaining and informative.
Everything in their catalogue is interesting, attractive and worth serious consideration. As far as I’m concerned, Royal Enfield represents the best value for dollar in motorcycling.
Bloody good job mate 🎉 At this present time im leaning towards the Interceptor 650 Dark Barcelona. But, the Kawasaki Ninja 650 and 500 in KRC has my thoughts. Looking forward to test riding them.
Thank you! Ninja 650 & Interceptor 650 are very different bikes. I think a Ninja 650RS is a more appropriate comparison. Nevertheless, you can watch videos about those on my channel but as i always say, nothing beats a test ride, so good luck buddy!
@RiderXp mate I agree about the comparison of the RS, as far as retros go I was pointing out 3 of the bikes I was interested in.buying. Yep, test riding is the only way to go.
i own a shotgun 650, recently did a leh laddhak tour on it. i liked the bobber look of it. u cannot go wrong with any 650cc all 4 are good in their own way.
I'm getting 75-80 mpg out of my Continental. I also have a few mods i.e DNA filter, Powerage Silencers, FuelX Lite and some bar-risers (CooperB Bikes) to help comfort (for an old person like myself) and have Bridgestone BT46 tyres but only fitted when the original tryes needed replacing.
@@RiderXp I've done around 8,000 miles, so far. The only issues I've had are the speedo cable breaking (internal wires causing the speedo to wander before giving up all together at 7,300 miles) and the clocks mist up sometimes ...but do eventually clear. I do get a little uncomfortable after 2-3 hours of riding, needing a short break for my knees and shoulders. However at my age, I get uncomfortable sitting in an armchair for 2-3 hours😁. My brother has the Super Meteor, which is more comfy but it's not as agile or quite as nippy.
@leighcoulson2148 Fair enough! Thank you for sharing the candid feedback. It help me bolster my knowledge base as well helps others looking to buy the bikes. I appreciate you sir. Have a nice weekend and stay safe 👍🏼
You’re welcome! If you’re cool with the riding position (or plan to customize the ergos), the continental is a very easy win over all of them. Please share the video with others who may find it interesting to watch. Cheers!
@@RiderXp The soft suspension was one point I was not sure about and I was drawn towards the Shotgun, but I prefer the classic look. I already own a BMW R18 and a Indien Chief Bobber Dark Horse, big and torquey bikes, but I want something for the city and small twisty mountain roads we have here a lot. I was thinking in terms of a BMW R12, but then I discovered Royal Enfield. I love the honest bikes htey build. They are not pretending to be something they are not. I am not afraid of modifications. The only problem is parts have to be certified for use on public roads in Germany and the EU and many of the stuff you mentioned is not. I found some interesting stuff already, tires, rear suspension, exhaust and seat, but I am still looking for the front suspension.
It’s not horrible for street use but if you are used to higher quality suspension, you will notice the difference. Ohlins and KTech also make suspension components for them, you may want to look into that. Good Luck!
Brother , can u make a video on honda Transalp ? Or comparison for ADV Bikes in middleweight segment . I find ur research to be very detailed in nature and i quite like it .
Thanks for the kind words! I have ridden the Transalp and most of its competitors. That video is on my list. I’m a one man army at the moment, so it may take a little while before i get to it. Thanks for your support. Do subscribe so you get notified when i post it.
Should be the new yammie noob lol much more likeable personality too lol he gives away bikes but man, lol his commentors are HARSH towards them sometimes. 🤣 rightfully so sometimes. But over here u keep it pretty interesting yet lighthearted. U dont talk alot of crap, and u get down to brass tax. Nice bro
Thank you! It means a lot to me. I appreciate you bud! Generally I’ve never been the cocky kind and being at the track I regularly I end up meeting people with unbelievable level of talent and knowledge so that helps with research and finding out the right answer from a legit expert.
