Remember, Cadet Bonespurs does not like people who were captured. It would be interesting to see how Donnie would have stood up to the ordeal.

Years ago, I had an International Student Travel Card while in college. I think I paid $1.50, stayed in pensiones and saved money, traveled short distance by rail. I think you have to be a full time student. Not sure if the card is still around.

Colonel Mahurin gave himself away while Bud was reading the affidavit. Notice his eyes going back and forth as if he were remembering what Bud was reading. Betty White looked great.

I looked up “Let’s Go” book and discovered that a travel series entitled “Let’s Go” was begun by an 18 year old Harvard freshman in 1960 and was first handed out - a 25-page mimeographed pamphlet - to students on flights to Europe. (It is still researched and written completely by Harvard students.). This makes me wonder if the author here and her husband essentially stole the idea. They used the words “Let’s Go” and specifically target it to students. It’s just too much of a coincidence.

Perhaps this person is the student who started it ?

@@joeambrose3260 I guess the husband could be the ‘now’ (1963) 20 - 21 year old founder. It seems that “author AND founder” would’ve been noteworthy to include in the intro, though.

I had a strong feeling it was the guy before they even came down stairs because who would name their daughter Wally? I figured they had put the 2 ladies there to fool them

Women often have masculine-sounding nicknames or professional names. I knew a ballerina with the first name of Wilhelmina, but everyone called her Willie. Likewise, men sometimes have feminine-sounding names. For instance, the composer for the 1960s British series 'The Avengers' (among many other film and TV productions) was Laurence Reginald Ward Johnson, but was listed as Laurie Johnson in the credits. Similarly, Leslie, Carol, and Evelyn were originally men's names.

@@HannibalFan52 The conductor Arturo Toscanini had a daughter who was named Wally. I believe he did that because of a character in an opera.

John Wayne's real name was Marion. Author Anne Rice's real first name was Howard.
