Join the moving story of Dr. Eva Rosalene and Dr. Neil Watts as they journey through the memories of dying patient Johnny to fulfil his last wish: To weave the memory of having become an astronaut and visited the Moon.
Again, you seem to be forgetting that the game is perfectly price efficient even at $10. I did the math for you. I can't explain it until you've played it through to the end. I don't cry easily to media. Even Toy Story 3 failed to get a tear out of me. The Walking Dead came close, but I sort of saw the ending coming. Didn't make the ending bad, but I had time to brace myself for it. To the Moon's ending surprised me in just the right way, and it was moving. Touching. Not sad, but satisfying.
***SPOILER*** Because River was the only thing stopping her from fulfilling their contractual obligation to take Johnny to the moon, even if the only reason he wanted that was because of her. The promise he made to her when they were children was they were to meet up on the 'Bunny's Tummy' (The constellation that they made which featured the moon.) If they ever lost one another. He had to lose her in order for them to fulfil that promise. The up shot of this however was living a life with Joey.
Alexelcapo es un RU-vidr con mas de 500.000 Subscriptores que decidió hacer una serie de este juego que personalmente en mi opinión esta muy bien hecho y tiene una OST Increible
This game, Ib, Yume Nikki, Melon Journey and I'm sure others (not counting the several yume nikki clones, even though 2kki, .flow and Irene's Mirror were great for YN clones) are probably the best examples of how a 'cookie cutter' game engine can be used to make something amazing. Even if you are using it just to tell a story, you can also innovate with the engine's mechanics to make something visually beautiful. RPG Maker is a great game engine. You just need your imagination.
...What? This is an INDY game. And no, that doesn't mean it was produced in Indiana. This was made independently. As in, by ONE PERSON. The Walking Dead was made by a fully funded, fully staffed development company. It's like comparing a RU-vid video to a Feature Length Film. Also, a game doesn't need good graphics and voice acting to be good. If it does, then great! But To the Moon literally brought me to tears, which is something no game, even The Walking Dead, has managed to do.
In fact, he didn't say they had to come and comment. He just commanded them to watch this trailer before his "To the Moon" gameplay. The reason of all of the comments is human stupidity.
Dude, it's a retro-style game. What did you expect, stylized 3-D animations? Also keep in mind that this was made from a RPG-Maker engine. There were limits to what they could do. More importantly, if you're going to let the graphics keep you from one of the best video game stories I've ever experienced, then I laugh at you.
This game wasn't perfect. The controls were janky, the puzzles were somewhat pointless and easy, a lot of the comic relief ended up killing the mood, and the action scene at the end really felt shoehorned in. That being said, this may have been the first time a video game actually made me cry. The story was just so touching, and so well done. Absolutely fantastic, and I would recommend it to anyone. $10 is a steal for such a masterpiece.
Again, I can name a lot of games with campaigns under 10 hours that people play $60 for, play through the campaign, and never touch it again. Some games (Like Kane and Lynch 2) have FOUR HOUR campaigns. That's $15 per hour of "entertainment". So, you're saying that THIS is the rip off? Also keep in mind that Steam has frequent sales. I got my copy of To the Moon for $3.50 Now that's a deal if I've ever seen one.
true enough. Though this game does take place at least 50 years from today, so I wouldnt be surprised if it was an advanced version. Also, there are a bunch of other things that could explain the abnormality that I wont get into because I dont want to spoil anything or something. I probably wouldnt, but I like to be on the safe side.
Eis Schnee ((Well yeah...buuut its still a space shuttle.....once it looses its booster stage then its not a rocket ship...its pretty much just a plane....planes dont usually work on Moons with no atmosphere where they cant land due to....lack of air))
A ver señores, pobre gente de habla anglosajona, veien a ver este video y cuando bajan a ver los comentario, ven A los pequeños "capos" invadiendo los comentarios.
There are lots of games today that would be... Let's say 10-12 hours? That's fair. And they'd be $60 at launch. So let's do some math: 10$/3 = $3.33 per hour 60$/12 = $5 per hour And that was me being generous. While it's true that some games (Like Skyrim) are longer than 12 hours, there are plenty of games (Like Dishonored) at 12 hours or less. So really, To the Moon is actually a better deal when you look at cash per hour of entertainment.
3.50? that's more like it. It should always be that price. I am not paying 10 dollars. also, explain to me how this game made you cry and not Walking Dead?
And why a lot of Spanish people come to coment in Spanish? Well, I know why, becuause they maybe don't speak English but if they don't, Why they coment? Alex told you coment?
But lots of games have no voice acting and mediocre graphics. Pac-Man. Tetris. Pokemon. Most of the Mario games. Sonic. Braid. Limbo. The early Final Fantasy games. Chrono Trigger. Journey. Shadow of the Collosus has good graphics, but little to no voice acting. I could go on, but my point is that a game doesn't need good graphics or voice acting to be good. It can certainly have those, but they don't require them.
