I am very thankful for this guide. I lost both arms and legs back in Vietnam after I got 360 no scoped by a landmine. You see back in my day we used to play call of duty IRL. Anyways, I started playing War Thunder back in '17 and the only planes I could successfully fly were bombers. Lacking arms and legs makes it really hard to be a gamer but luckily I was able to pick up on the steep learning curve for bombers. In fact, bomber gameplay is so intense that enemy fire will often give me vivid flashbacks of the war.

Admit it, you wanted to post this on April 1st but you couldn't gather all the footage needed in time

I'm a bomber main and I actually ordered a custom keyboard and mouse combination so I can focus on dropping my bombs better, the keyboard consists of a singular 20x55 cm spacebar and the mouse only has a left mouse button. That way I can put all my focus into playing the objective and dropping those bombs onto the base, without having to worry about missing the spacebar button, while all the useless fighters are trying to kill the enemy instead of bombing, losing me the match anyways.

There is actually some fun to be had in bombers. Take the B-25 and instantly drop your bombs. You are now a (Very) Heavy Fighter.

I like really like the part where you dropped the bomb. I feel like i learned a lot.

I was a bomber main, but my playstyle was very different. And i quit war thunder after I got nerfed into the ground. I liked to fly at a lower elevation. It used to be that bombers didnt die in like 2 hits. So flying a bus through the air with gunners that couldnt hit backside of a barn unless it was 2 feet away from them was kinda fun. Unfortunately after they got nerfed to the ground. Earning lions and research tanked to the piont my only option was to go back the bi plane and start the research tree all over again.

Ah yes now I can truly be amazing at bombers. I never thought flying in a straight line at high altitudes contributing next to nothing to my team because my other monitor was on something else was so difficult.

Defyn, i need your help, a few weeks ago i bought the Fw190 D13, and thanks to it i grinded most of the german tech tree (currently researching the mig15 bis), got the first 262 and the 162, but im having some doubts about following the tree, (mostly because it just seems like german jets suffer until you get missiles) and i tought about switching to the american tech tree ( rn im researching the first p47 and got the first p38) because it seems like they are better, so, should i switch or grind through the pain?
