One of the few songs that really encompass an entire game. It shows everything, from the loss at the start of what Tidus thought of as his future, to his slow growth as a character, to his realisation that he didn't knoe how to save Yuna but that he would keep trying.
I'll never forget my mom taking me to the pawnshop and seeing it behind the glass. I had heard of Final Fantasy but I had no clue what it was about or if jumping in at the Xth one was viable or not but the cover was too cool to pass up. What a journey. What a life since i first heard this song but I knew it was special then as I do now and always will. Thank you for the rendition!
Simply beautiful! I love how your recording just lets every note "hang" with room to breathe in between. It really captures the emotional weight of the original piece.
Thank you! This video was one of the first where I was kinda satisfied with how it looked "as a video." I felt I was showing the vibe of the piece well.
Great job. Some of video games and cinema music are the classic music of our time. As Shubert and Beethoven was at their time. In my opinion this is a masterpiece of our time.
Well now. I started crying the *Instant* you started playing. Ok. Uh. This is too damn good. Absolutely *Criminally Underrated* video, wow. You sir, deserve way more subs, one of which is now me.
I really enjoyed your cover of this great song, and I hope this will come across as I mean it, what hit me hard as I was watching you playing, was your humility towards the instrument in your hands, I felt every note you played, people could be overly technical and lose out on the emotional impact a song like this could have on an audience, but you have a great balance here. Sometimes, all we need is someone to "silence" the world around us for 3 minutes and let us enjoy music for what it is... :) Thanks for this cover, and ofc I subbed. Congrats.
Hey man, even though I made my own edits and changes, I basically used Sam Griffin's arrangement for this video. If you check his Patreon "Sam Griffin Guitar," he makes all of his tabs available!
I heard that if this video gets to 10k views, Jimmy Tokyo will do an impromptu performance in the middle of the world-famous Shibuya scramble crossing 🎉 Let's GO! 💪
This is ... painfully disgusting, in the worst way (and just so youtube and online context fails us yet again, I mean that it's painfully glorious). Final Fantasy has a broken and sadistic legacy of music that harms and sings the soul. Hearing ANY of that on acoustic guitar? You should be in jail. Thank you for this. Thank you.
