Damn, this is the best comment I've ever gotten on these two videos. :3 Seriously. Thank you. (Admittedly it's sort of a low bar to begin with since 90% of the 10 years of comments have been 'what is that song?' despite the fact it's in the description and holy lord I've sometimes been tempted to mute the comments sections.) But, really. It's special to hear somebody say I was part of their childhood... I don't think anybody has ever said that before. Thank you for saying so. :) Frankly this was such an amateur effort I feel, skill-wise for what I could with video-editing back then. And then when RU-vid removed annotations it kinda ruined all my text work too. But for some reason, these videos remain an absolute hit, and my best videos so far. (Shame I cannot monetize them, haha.) I've never understood why people love these so much, but it's clear as heck that tons of people do, and that's great~ ...I hope some folks do trouble themselves to check out my newer content too. :)

@@CharemTheShadox No worries, I still remember quite a significant chunk of it, including the part where Bowser yells, "If it weren't for you stupid Toads......." before finally landing at the bottom of the castle grounds and kicking the bucket once and for all (sadly, the Mario Bros and Peach also passed away in this timeline, presumably killed by Kamek before the events of the game)

I remember seeing this video back when I was in the 1st grade, 10 years later and coming back to this I feel like I’m reliving my childhood. These musical choices only make it better, especially the SMRPG Forest Maze remix. :)

You know what's funny? The sprites are edited from those in the SNES version of "Mario's Time Machine," an edutainment title second in notoriety only to "Mario Is Missing!" One of the worst installments of the franchise gave us some of the best 16-bit Bowser sprites!

@@tailuigi fun fact: Luigi's sprite from the game "Mario is Missing" is the impression source for the meme character "Weegee" as for his name sometimes of the characters would pronounce his name as "Weegee" instead of "Luigi" this can be heard in some cutscenes from the game "Hotel Mario" BTW: I didn't know that the SNES had that type of power to show cutscenes and the bowser sprite I thought the max limit was 16 bits like in Super Mario World

I've started playing this game today and it's one of the best fanmade mario games I've ever seen, 12 years ago when I was a kid, I watched multiple videos of this game and this video was one of my favorites to watch, now I started playing it today, only got to world 4 so far, am going for all the coins and secrets! Wish me luck :D

There were times when I forgot this was a mario fangame because of how well the bosses were made and the level design ETC. And I'd agree about Wart being the hardest boss in the game. Until I got used to his pattern and lured him to the top of the screen as you said he just kept beating me and beating me

Actually they still exist technically, they're just disabled on modern RU-vid. You can restore them with extensions like chromewebstore.google.com/detail/annotations-restored-for/daabpdmgkghdbfljmeahnplkcldbeefg?hl=en and they work as they did before on these videos if you do~

Again, Yoshi's Island-styled bosses, deserve Yoshi's Island's boss-styled names. -Behemoth Bill (OK, this one is actually cool and fitting). -Goombane the Tool (I admit like this name, too) -Mallet Bro. the Head Honcho Hammer (yeah) -Kamek the Last (He is the Last of the Koopas and Kameks (Magikoopas)). -King Bowser the Reincarnated The bosses are my favorite part of this game.

The two full-heal mushrooms appearing during the final boss fight were completely unnecessary, in particular. ^^; And it's not like the rest of this game was easy... (I remember one area where you have to run from a big Chain Chomp, and I DIED SO MANY TIMES.)

So apparently this game is after Bowser's supposed final "defeat" and judging by the looks of things he was dumped off a bridge again. Probably into something he wouldn't even survive like a black hole or something. Kamek revived Bowser before Toad set off on his quest and Bowser was behind the scenes spearheading a revival of his empire to attack a new Mushroom Kingdom without heroes to protect it. What he did not expect though was Toad rising to the occasion to oppose his reign quite a surprising twist I do say.

I still think I could give HHH a better twist. Bulky Bro, who throws giant spiked hammers, and at half health, he jumps and smashes down at a side of the screen, so you have to the run to the other side quickly, but a hammer above the screen somewhere shows you where he's going to land, thus creating a harder Hammer Bro Boss...I hope.

Yer welcome. ^^ It's hard collecting some of the mushroom tokens, so it's not surprising that some people never got to see Bowser. Though my description on the bridge level is an assumption; I'm not sure how Bowser resurrected. This game takes place long after Mario and etc's time, meaning Bowser had been dead for a while. Kamek lived because...he's a wizard I guess. When you think about it, Kamek is the true evil. He raised Bowser from a baby and likely raised him into evil in the first place.

I don't know if it was at the time this game was made, but the name Goomboss was taken by an actual enemy in Mario 64 DS and Mario Kart DS. Plus, Goombane just sounds better with its appearance, probably.
