And the fact that Timmy pre calls the nade being big, then actually downs one, all while toast is questioning what Timmy is seeing because it’s just the perfect Kobe past the wall while the guy is healing 20:25
Fun to watch, but the team is a bit chaotic. I honestly think they could get a lot better... but it wouldn't be easy. Design needs to step up more as the IGL in my opinion. A lot of the time his comms just aren't clear enough or there's too many voices cooking and the play just falls apart. It often feels like they have to argue first before deciding on a play. There needs to be a clear voice and the comms need to be more detailed yet concise. But I don't know if Design could glue the team together. He hates to admit he's wrong, he's the type to pushback anytime he gets criticism and it's a battle to make him admit his mistakes a lot of the time. I get it... I'm like that too. I do think the team is getting to the point where they're dropping their egos a bit and admitting their mistakes more, but it's just been slow progress. It's not that huge of a deal, they're all incredibly skilled so they'll still have some insane games. It just makes them very inconsistent. What the team needs is consistency. However they can achieve that they should do it.
I think you are 100% correct. I hope that this team sticks together for a long time. They will only keep getting better and developing better chemistry with each other. Teams that stick together usually perform the best in the long run.
My takeaway from this video was that the IGL was the only voice of reason and a ton of potential placement points were lost to Timmy losing his head and rushing a play while not listening to his captain. If you're the captain people should listen just because it's better to execute a bad plan together than each try their own thing. The minutiae of why some non-captains idea was better is meaningless compared to the problem of not listening. The details are for vod review.
Timmy makes really good calls but the problem, to me, is that these guys all have their own plan and want to follow that. Dezign does need to step up but it’s hard when his teammates are fighting his calls.
I agree they needed to all drop their ego and listen to the captain, and the captain needs to learn to admit mistakes as well (which he did recently, so character development👍). That said, I think they’ve been improving as a team compared to the first time we saw them play
At Game 6, Dezignful's comm is so twisted. He can say yes at the start and say "nope" next Timmy: "Can we EVAC" Dezignful: "Yes, we can EVAC and jump over" Timmy: "We can EVAC" Enemy: "We can EVAC Dezign" Timmy: "I'm popping EVAC" Zone starts moving After Timmy took the EVAC. Dezignful: "Im BANG ulting on the right" Dezignful: "Do not EVAC. Do not EVAC. i say do not EVAC" Timmy jumps down to help and zone closing . dead Timmy: "I think we should EVAC" Dezignful: "Where we gonna go?" He needs to cancel off the first plan early instead of changing plan in the middle of the heat.
I agree with that, but we can also see that Dezignful said so many times for no one to Evac, enemy stayed and Timmy went for the evac even though he clearly realized no one was going with him. At that point they gotta be on the same page even if it means to be wrong and it feels like Timmy overheats so many times while not following what the other two are doing.
Yeah that's not how it works, and it shows that you know nothing. You need to be able to react in the moment and listen to the IGL, everyone isn't going to play the way you want. If enemy could do it, why couldn't timmy?
@@WolfHeadShoT @bottomtier3823 I see. Understood on your statement. But if Dezignful is really IGLing then Timmy should not take the EVAC at all since Dezignful hasn't given a green light. I would've know it better myself if I'm giving shotcall and I would still listen to my IGL instead of saying he overheats, i don't know what you're on about know nothing. I'm just looking from Timmy's perspective. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Dezign was a little bitch yelling at his teammates, hope his career is short edit : it's his 4th year as a pro and his 7th org already, so clearly no pros want to put up with his skills or personality
Kinda funny to see that even in some hyper competitive environment like ALGS that they can have two completely different and I think valid choices on how to play it out and then end up misplaying it in the way that last game went with the evac lol
I feel like Timmy's gameplay style is sooooo much different from his team that they get frustrated cause they can't keep up but it's also hard for him to not be as aggressive.
Timmy got the most criticism despite doing the best and making actual good calls compared to Design. It was painful to watch Timmy having to sit through that and not argue back.
Idk why the last decision was to not take evac that was confusing. Had they just played high ground they would've gotten those kills regardless and still make it into zone by simply dropping down. Regardless, DSG ON TOP
Timmy is still the goat he rather have his two team mates earn money Timmy got 100t dsg Red Bull plus too streamer he don’t need to do this he does it for the love
Timmy is really good but they need a leader one who is always level headed and asses the situation because to be honest they could have been #1 if they place higher each game if not for those risky calls.
Every team plays six match days, and they get a certain amount of points based on how they placed (1st gets 24, 2nd gets 21, 3rd gets 18,…)The top 12 teams in total points after the six match days and the regional finals (which the top 20 teams participate in) qualify for the lan. As it stands, DSG is 4th going into the regional finals so they are basically guaranteed to qualify for the lan.
If you search battlefy Apex year 4, the main page basically lays out the ALGS format. And then you can go to pro league split 1 (what we’re in now) to see the score board and schedule. Anyone below the first line on the scoreboard plays in split 2, as outlined on the main page.
Timmy is a content creator for 100T and esports player for DSG…both org agreed on the terms that Timmy will only put dsg tag in apex games…rest of his social presence will be mostly 100T and Timmy also agreed to not take any salary from dsg cuz he already has a 100T contract so instead he decided to give his share of dsg’s salary to his teammates…Bronzey their coach did the same thing cuz he is also part of 100T..
😂 neither does Charlie or any other org owner & it’s completely irrelevant. They hire people who are actually knowledgeable about the scene to buy teams, also they’re 4th overall qualified for LAN already.
why did toast decide to have a apex team before having any professional knowledge of how to play apex. Dude sounds like the pub randoms who want to see u hit a clip
@@YebisuLxck i cant tell you how many times he said "SCAN TIMMY" when they dont need to or cant, it's only one of multiple exemples, idk why youa re pressed i didnt fcking insult him nothing against him, you have to stop D riding tho
I mean you are allowed to think its annoying and have your own opinion. But I feel like giving your reactions is completely normal under any sports viewing. And 99% of viewers of sports or esports aren't necessarily "qualified" to actually judge what the correct or wrong plays are. He's just emotionally reacting not giving like an certified analysis or anything so I wouldn't take it too seriously.
