It's funny actually because I've seen him in other films, both past and present and don't refer to him as Tobin but rather "jigsaw"....that just proves how iconic a character he is plus, I'm not sure if it's just me but he has the kind of voice which you could listen to for hours and NOT get bored!
AceripXF really? 😱 omg I want to meet him too hopefully he will come to germany soon . I saw every saw movie and a couple more of his . He's a fantastic actor
Sophie Cooper 18 yes rly i wish yt can allow pic posts id show u but yah me n my dad got to meet him in new york city in '08 with amanda hoffman & the wire trap guy
+anthony cheesman it wasn't a voice it was voice over ing the main bad guy. .... if you think nothing goes into voice acting then your movie opinion is most likely not so great
It's true....and James and Leigh haven't been involved creativity with the franchise since the 3rd movie...and it showed. They only get they required Executive Producers credits these days...but they're actually no directly involved since the 3rd...
Tobin seems like a really strong guy in life in general. Very opinionated, very intelligent, his words just flow out because he's so sure in himself, etc.
Tobin bell is one of the few last living legends we have, i wanna see us get to saw 13 its tobin bells legacy at this point we all love you tobin i hope that you know we all appreciate your acting and the time you take to play your role your one of the best actors around i hope your proud of everything youve done
Tobin is a great actor. Even though he plays the part of an arch villain, the emotion and empathy is his puppy dog eyes will grab at you and make you love his character even more!
Tobin Bell is my idol. Screw all them Slena Gomez and freakin all them Disney actresses that say the were born to act Tobin Bell killed this part as Jigsaw and nobody could have done it better. ❤
He seems like a supportive grandpa type person. Like he doesn’t really care what your race, gender, sexuality, beliefs or anything like that are, he’d just give you a hug and read you a bedtime story
Nobody can beat Tobin Bell as Jigsaw he really shows the true nature of his character like seriously to play a normal guy then have the twisted jigsaw guy too its amazing what a talent man
If not for Tobin Bell, this franchise would have died after Saw 2. The shitty writers and directors aren't doing this series any favors... but Tobin Bell still managed to turn Jigsaw into an icon despite all of the bad scripts and lack of focus on what made the original so terrifying. I wish we got to see him stretch his range a little more, it seems he's stuck between Saw and low budget horror films.
I actually disagree. I feel like trying to make the traps so intricate is holding the franchise back from being great. The first (and parts of the second) film actually felt almost plausible and it made Jigsaw all the more terrifying. I actually like gory movies, but I felt like Jigsaw could have been a much more intimidating villain if they kept the films a lot more grounded, and mainly made him psychologically scary rather than trying to scare you by throwing buckets of fake blood on the screen. I will say though, I did like the trap where Special Agent Strahm got crushed by the walls. It just makes me think of if C-3P0 never saved Luke, Leia and Han from the garbage compactor in a New Hope, lol.
Umm, what did I supposedly misinterpret? And the first and third were written by Leigh Whannel and James Wan while the second was written by Leigh Whannell and Darren Lynn Bousman. Everything after that had different writers.
Evan Diamantopoulos you said would have died after saw 2. Because of shitty writers. Meaning shitty writers saw 3 and up. It's same reiter's until 5. So you're saying Leigh and James are the shitty writers after saw 2.
I'm glad I had the chance to meet him. Ever since the first Saw, I always wanted to see him. I got to shake his hand, but I was a blubbering fan girl XD.
Millennial here. I was indeed too young to get to watch Saw in the theaters, but I still loved it a few years later! ❤️ One of my favourites to this day!
The Undertaker It looks like it’s not gonna take itself seriously which is what it needs. Saw has been taking itself way to seriously. I mean how many tape recorders does jigsaw have? Jigsaw could’ve payed for his cancer treatment but no he has to spend all his money on tape recorders.
What a smart and genuine sounding man. You can tell he's really in it for developing the character and elaborating on what we were fascinated with since the ending of the first film. A remarkable actor, his casting as John Kramer was as good a fit as Michael J. Fox for Marty McFly. He makes a good point in saying that there's a bit of a time jump between when the original series came out, and this new film. I'm excited for Jigsaw, even if it is a flop, I'll still enjoy all of Tobin Bell's scenes all the same.
Chris Settles, I apologize for the misunderstanding. I wasn't referring to Tobin Bell with my comment; he's fucking awesome! I was referring to Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures for pulling a George Lucas.
He definitely has an intense air about him. His voice as well as his demeanor. He makes me stop what I’m doing & take notice. He could talk about his shopping trip to Walmart & have me at the edge of my seat
This is why I love the Saw movies because they always have the re-occuring theme in each movie! I am glad Tobin Bell feels the same way since no one really talks about this.
How cool must it be for him that he's in the same group as Mayers, leatherface, Freddy, Jason, pinhead and Ghostface and he doesn't even need makeup. The only true horror icon of the 00s
I think he is not a villain ....... he is just a guy that want revenge ......... the people that he take are villain ...... he just want to give them a second chance
scenes like surprise breaks and puzzles that need to be watched carefully. I grew up with this movie series. It was a difficult journey when I was a kid and now this movie series is my old friend.
You're a fucking idiot. Its not amazing. kids voice change because they go through puberty. Pretty sure an adult doesnt go through puberty for a 2nd time
Tobin rules, but I'm happy he mentioned Donnie Wahlberg because Donnie played an epic part in the 6th Sense, and then continued to crush it in the Saw films. His performance in Saw 2 was awesome.
To me I grewed up watching the whole entire Saw series thanks to my Aunt she's sleeping eternally now, I was only 4 or 5 when I watched the first film, it has shown so much.
I really like watching Tobin in these films he just fits this role and as an actor I think he's absolutely amazing, I don't really watch saw for the gore because I'm not that fond of it and some things quite honestly make me feel sick but it's the story behind his character and the mechanics of the traps that are quite interesting not to keen seeing them in action just purely how they work mechanics wise. I feel behind all that murder and gore there's a interning story that's been portrayed and I can't wait to see the new film to see how the storey will be and I'm really glad we still get Tobin in it in some way as he really compleats the story I feel because it was followed for so long.
greatest horror actor of all time he portrays his character better then anyone I've ever seen you never know what he's gunna do or what he's thinking or what his next move is that's what makes these saw movies the greatest horror franchise ever created truly amazing to watch
