Looks great Dave. Thanks for the explanation and comparison. Great idea. You are always looking for improvements. Love your business approach of thorough testing first plus your commitment to the customer. Fantastic customer service as always.

I would think that having to unclip those new clips to get into your bag at -25C or colder would take longer or be more fiddley than the continuous lash system. I also think this system has the downfall of lacking versatility if you wish to use the toboggan for hauling firewood or other tasks.

Having tested them all last winter down to -35C, I found the plastic clips faster and more efficient than the continuous lashing, however I'll be interested to hear from other people who get experience using them in the field this winter. I did mention the shortcoming of not having lash lines for other loads (like firewood), but we've only ever moved firewood a few hundred metres at a time, and never over rough terrain. So for that use, a couple of bungees over the logs was enough last year.

nice Dave looks awesome....what a great upgrade to your system. I think you'd be safe to offer just the speed lash...most folks doing this on their own (i.e. unguided) are lucky to get out for more than 4-5 days at a time and really only get a handful of trips in per winter. I've used plastic "fastex" buckles on certain bags for years now with no issues and agree with your thought process - any extra time savings packing up each day is completely worth it!

What are those clips called trying to find extras

"Tanks" for the video. Unless the words Speed Lash Systems are covered by copyright, I'd imagine other companies will use the name? We'll never have those minus 40 temperatures here in Australia, only get the plus 40's or so during summer.

When should we expect them for sale on the website?

I'm hoping to get more info online in the next week or so, but for now, we've actually been selling the speed lash tanks all season already, just haven't been advertising them yet. Anyone buying a tank this year we've contacted them with the info and option to choose either speed lash or classic, both at the same price: lureofthenorth.com/product/equipment/tobs/toboggan-tanks/ Thanks Alain!
