This is awesome !!! As I was listening to the church organ version, I was wondering if flute could come close to it's beauty and your video convinced me that it is indeed possible ! Thanks for sharing :)
@@IWantMyTimTV Still the best version i've ever heard hands down. I come regularly back to listen to it when I need motivation to work a bit harder on my flute skills !
Don, You should just go ahead and do a screen capture. I'm glad you like it. It's a bit "one dimensional", I think, but at the time it was a real accomplishment for me.
Dear Tim, Absolutely amaizing! really impressive! Congratulations! 100% conforming to the original score! On my side, I purchased the score of the transcription from Sciarrino, which is indeed interesting but a little too "modern" and a pain in the :-# to play (aside from the chords you're supposed to achieve, the whole thing is too complicated and almost impossible to play at the right tempo)... Could you PLEASE share the score of your transcription, which is absolutely awesome? Thanks a million for your work Best regards
This is a really good performance... I am impressed Of course you should spend a long time practicing but what an amazing play! Please, is it possible to send your version of this work of art ? ;-)
This is one of the most extraordinary solo flutes I've ever seen. I'm speechless and amazed. Pahud, Galway, Rampal, your name should be as well-known as theirs. You play in such a smooth, clear and melodious way. Impressive. Your face doesn't even move when you play, some people's lips and cheeks seem to vibrate, yours don't. And one can barely hear you take a breath, without watching the video, one wouldn't even be able to tell each time you take one. Anyway, no words can describe such an amazing performance. Thank you for sharing!
I definitely don't agree with u, but I respect what you've said. The sound is too saturated and does not sound very natural and flawless. If we don't watch the video, we feel the player is making an effort to produce his sound, and this is not the way we correctly do flute.
@@evelelong3804 Ok, Eve Le Long I'm wanting the link to your version of this song that sounds so much better..........waiting........waiting..........still waiting........
I seriously can't stand that this awesomeness has such a low ammount of views. It's the best Toccata flute interpretation in youtube (the one of Helena Schultess just lacks of power) and in the top 5 of toccata and fugue interpretations of all instrumente. Your flute sounds like a cannon, a laser beam huge cannon! You're an inspiration for anybody that plays a woodwind instrument.
+Carlos Montenegro That is extraordinarily kind of you to say, Carlos. Since I was a youth, this project has been a labor of love. Every aspect of this video came together at the right time. Again, I am overwhelmed by your kind words. Thank you very much.
I totally agree with you, Carlos! I just heard Helena's and was really disappointed in the slowness. It was all enunciated clearly, but just not brilliant in the pointillism at that slow speed. Tim's performance is clearly superior and, I too, do not understand his having fewer views.
Apologies to all who would like the score. This recording reflects MANY revisions to my original manuscript. I must sit down and rewrite. I will post when it is available. -TIM😊
Dear Mr. Macri, first of all bravo for your incredible performance! You are amazing! Is it possible somehow to buy the scores of your superb arrangement? I want absolutely to perform it. Best regards.
wow! Amazing job! Incredible sound and techniques! I'm totally interested in having the score, Tim! If you would share with us! Amazing arrangement! Congratulations!
Thank you! I also loved this composition when I was young. I thought it might be possible to play this on flute so....I worked hard! I will always try to play it better.
I’m still working hard to play this incredible instrument and I’d loved to have the sheet partition of your interpretation if you have it in order to play like this on day. Thank you very much for all you do in the music world.
Beautiful Maestro Tim, this is a real masterpiece ... I hope one day not too late I can be able to play Toccata so emotive like this rendition of an amazing piece.
I am amazed at this spectacular arrangement and divine interpretation. Congratulations maestro Tim! This interpretation shows me that it is the result of hard work, love and dedication. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful moment with us. Would it be possible to provide your arrangement? Or if you have already published this arrangement, where can I buy it? As a flutist I still don't have enough technical level to honor the interpretation of this beautiful arrangement but I will make it a nice gift for a friend, an excellent professional flutist and also the official organist of one of the most beautiful baroque churches in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Historical organ built in the Church of Nossa Senhora do Carmo between 1782 and 1787. I hope hear from you soon. Have a nice day!
Every time I listen to this I hear yet another amazing thing I missed the first time. This is seriously amazing playing! (Maybe in many, many years I'll be able to play this half as well as you).
God has gifted us with your mastery of this performance. I am truly moved by the beauty and your skill. I wish I could have the resonance of these sounds enter all peoples of the world, and what a wonderful world we would live in.
Well, that answers that question. Is their a definitive flute video as to what a flute should sound like. YES. You are watching and listening to it. Stunning playing sir.
Capo laboro! además de un virtuoso, Tim tiene un excelente sonido y lo mejor es su interpretación de una obra tan difícil como desafiante para una flauta, mi mas sana envidia!
Good morning. Tim Macri kindly gave us this information a very long time ago. 😀 Really a very beautiful place. "This is the priests chapel at the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Boston, Massachusetts. The Basilica proper is 200 feet long." Hope this helps. Lobão (Belo Horizonte, MG - Brazil)
Jose, The arrangement (from 2007) is still in manuscript. Very crude. There are also changes I made as I worked through the years. You are welcome to see my old manuscript.😊
I wrote my own after several years of reading straight from the score. My arrangement is in manuscript form and I have been slow (very) to transfer it to computer.
Wow ! Just breathtaking ! I saw you promised the score... Would you be kind enough to publish it ? Btw congratulations, clear and warm sound and technically perfect..
