We still have two dozen or so steam jammers like that in service at where I work most are much larger size than that one. Most of them have been running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the last 100 years or so aside from the occasional overhaul every 30 years and a couple rows of packing here or there
The answer with those videos is their life is making the videos lol. One pedantic thing, the pump doesn't suck the oil, it creates a partial vacuum low pressure zone and the oil moves into the chamber to fill the vacuum as it moves from the atmospheric pressure to the low pressure.
