I wish Mr. Cosby's great reputation was still intact. While I never liked him in his interviews, I always appreciated what he brought to the world and what he did to improve white America's perceptions of black Americans. It was refreshing and historical.
I am a white man from the country, and I have never thought race was even a part of The Cosby Show. I wasn't raised in a racist household by any means, but still. The Cosby Show was so beautifully written and executed that it handled the race issue in an incredibly graceful manner. Bill Cosby is a downright genius.
Being almost the exact same age as Raven, I grew up with this show. I loved this show back then and I still love it now. I am white, and a lot of people asked me why I like this show. My reply was and always will be...I could care less what color the cast members are. This show isn't about a "black" family. It is about an American family. Race has nothing to do with it. These people are amazing actors/actressess. I hate when racist people give their opinions on things. This is the best show ever
It’s so funny how "Claire" and "Sondra" played mother and daughter but were only about 10 years apart and "Russel" and "Cliff" played father and son but were only about 10 years apart lol
Good 4 U, Theo. We need 2 bring back respect 4 elders and titles of respect like Miss, Mr. Ms., etc not just titles for education, i.e., Dr., Professor, etc. When we can show respect 2 others, we can have more respect 4 ourselves, and that will GROW!
I wish they still made shows like this! I'm 13 and I watched this show all the time when they would play reruns! I was 7. One of the best shows ever. (:

This was him in reality, He was not on a series then. 8 hours of no food. They was disrespectful. He just let them know. It was not receive well. He acted like the master on the plantation and the 2 host were the free workers.t

So true! This show never failed to remind me of my own family, and precious values that I grew up with. The fact that people ask you that, or anything about race, just goes to show that THEY, and not you, are more preoccupied with racism.
I come from Syria and the Cosby show makes me really laugh no matter how many time I watch it, I don't understand how most of people consider shows like Friends or Big Bang Theory COMEDY SHOWS!!!! I don't even smile when I watch this crap.
How dare they cut off Grandpa! The man is royalty to me, at first I thought he was just too old to speak much but he talks faster than bill. They were just cutting him out of the interview basically. How rude.
The other show to hold the number one spot in prime time was not Roseanne. Roseanne ranked as the number one show for only one season. The other series was, in fact, All in the Family.
Bill Cosby did a great job creating jobs, nurturing, teaching values, bringing families together but Unfortunately He was set up , Howe he will always remain a legend and the greatest artist of all time’s , respect ✊
How is it relevant that Bill Cosby is rich and can afford to buy breakfast for everyone himself? Isn't he your guest? Isn't this a double morning show that requires people arrive very early in the morning? You are on a budget that doesn't include maybe a simple spread , as a courtesy? How much do the hosts make? How much do the executives make? Are their salaries on a budget? Is Kathy Lee insinuating that Bill is from such a rich mindset that he can't understand the concept of a budget? The Cosby home budget can afford to serve a meal in a much better way that a major television network can? You think Bill is expecting too much? Has unreasonable expectations? Yelling out What do you all want? McDonalds? That's how you handle that situation? How about, instead, say who is handling this? Let's get something nice up here right away. Maybe the Cosby people were supposed to ask for food ahead of time instead of just assuming a big organization on a major network serves refreshments routinely to guests, especially those who are staying a long time and making two separate appearances?? You blame the comments on Bill being tired? Blame it on him again. .And then why did they invite Earl --- probably over 80 years old ---- to talk if they didn't have time to hear him for 30 seconds? Again, that is THEIR job. Manage the time. The whole thing needed more wisdom. A large groups of legendary stars from a beloved, ground -breaking television sitcom should be presented in a way different than this way.

Did you see the other interviews? They were there all day and he wasn't like that. He is just livening things up because they're tired. Don't jump to conclusions without sufficient information. Everyone else there is enjoying themselves..
Why I'm reading comments tlkn bout bill is not his old self & he seems conceited senile... My best guess is that the man is a lot older & of course he's not going to be the same the man is getting old for crying out loud... But he is still the funniest man alive he has been in the entertainment industry for over 100 years give the man a break
Yeah, i agree. When people get older they just get tire of sometimes having to act like themselves when they were younger. When you hit a certain age in your life ,it's like Who really gives a dam anymore. I'm gonna be who I'm gonna be like it or not. Don't matter at this elderly age.
I agree about the stroke. I've thought this for some time now,..his thoughts/communication has been affected by more than age. He's notable to express himself like he used to...I've had a parent who experienced that. He's not as subtle with the "zing" anymore b/c of this.
she did a nude scene in a movie when she was working on Cosby, Bill was angry it would ruin the show's image, she was fired after, ironic how things turned out now...
@MegaPrestidge Can't compare this to anything else. Maybe Saved by the bell but that is different type of show. It still was a big success just like this.

Most people don't know Bill was a good friend of comedy icon Groucho Marx. If you have ever watched Groucho (1890-1977), you'll know Bill is just doin' him.
They seemed so disrespectful to Earl, they asked him to speak than they interrupted him as he was trying to tell his story, they rushed the elderly guy, very disrespectful in my opinion
You don't believe that nobody cares about grammar proper spelling or punctuation do you? I've seen most of you're coments and for some reason they're all about spelling being proper missplelling things like that but you don't get that nobody cares about that so either stop talking about or don't comment anything at all PLEASE!
The females interviewing them are getting on my nerves. Being young, 22, and looking at the Cosby Show and A Different World, you see all the different positive messages that are sent out to the viewers in a real way that's easy to relate to. Receiving these messages and just looking over the time in my life at the wisdom that Bill Cosby "Mr. Cosby" has brought, it seems like disrespect to watch him in my opinion being treated like a kid, or rather like an old man.
