I had the tape of this album! I used to run the heck outta "Home"! The Luther fan that I am, I should've realized that this was a Nat Adderly Jr production. (that Nat piano sound is so obvious!) For a producer to give a Luther-style song to a bunch of young cats, at the time, and tell them to let it rip! And for those same cats to pull it off.......! Anyone who digs this tune out the crates and remakes it BETTER put their A-game in this one!
I Wanna Come Back Home was one of those songs I've only heard a handful of times, and a LONG time ago at that, but it's still one of my favorites. The arrangement of the hook is what got me. Plus, Big Bub had one of those distinct kinda voices. I loved his version of Zoom by the Commodores.
Hey Big Bruh, you cats were the perfect backdrop for me & the honies, back in my high school days. I remember meeting you all during that time in my life @ NCCU's homecoming, many years ago. Plenty of love & respect to y'all!😉
@dkap1 , Technically, this album was recorded in '89 and '90, but it's really a verrrrrrrrrrry early 90s album. But I'm glad that you are feeling it though.
I wanna come back home. Takes me back to a relationship I ended. I made the right call in letting her go. But I was messed up. This song takes me back there.
ABSOLUTELY takes a brotha back, to this psycho-chik I was head over heals in love with....didn't realize how much better I was until I ran these two songs back to back for a few months....after that, I was good.....she was beautiful, but a total basket case.
Because the producer Nat Adderley Jr., was a music director, composer and co-writer to many of Luther Vandross's albums....And he wrote and arranged music for the group Today....
@Tppksnap If download and install "Real Player" basic you can download the videos and make your own .mp3s from the videos. the software explains very plainly how to do this.
