Lmao I didn't use a aftermarket harness for my car same Lexus as this one I put a double din in and tapped into stocked harness without aftermarket harness and bypassed amp everything works fine.
No matter what, it's still a Toyota at heart. They are amazing vehicles. Those fire walls were such a nightmare tho. Also, all cabling from the truck as a pain to get past the rear seats. I want that good tho ha
Hey you guys u do really nice clean install I've learned a lot from you guys as a do-it-yourselfer it's nice to know I have someone to count on for pointers and tips keep up the good work
I wish I was living close to your guys I would have you upgrade my Lex 330 system, I still have the factory system looking to replace. I will definitely share this with whomever I get to upgrade my system.
I know that was just a basic system and but it's just a pleasure watching you guys man you guys work well together and knock out good quality stuff so there you have it thanks again for good video
One of the best videos yet with all the explanation. Super clear and easy to understand even if you aren't a Toyota owner. (use of similar tips in other applications)
Awesome install job!!! You guys are Amazing “audio educators”!!! Had a love for audio my whole life and getting to watch top notch installers who share the same passion...priceless 👌🏼
Thought of a second question as well. Do any of the major radio manufacturers have a 2.4A USB port, or any talk of including one? Faster charging while connected to the head unit would be awesome!
Not that I've seen. Getting a wireless unit (still more expensive) is the best way to ensure you can still plug into fast charging for your phone (qualcom or USBPD)
It’s such an easy car to work with as far as upgrading the radio. Maintenance is very reasonable too. We have an ES300 with 265k miles. Just upgraded to a double din radio like this with Apple Car Play and it works great. The ES330 is an even better car. BYW, you will need the Toyota harness to turn on the amp.
I can never understand why people leave all of their personal stuff in their cars when they bring them in for service. I always take my stuff out. I don't want anyone going through my personal things. I only leave the registration and the insurance card. That is it! I don't even leave my toll pass!
I was so impressed with your guys installation I am willing to come to you so you can do my Lexus as well it’s the same one you guys did please let me know how I can contact you to get a quote
You don’t need a micro bypass for Pioneer avic radios. Turn off radio power. Press on bottom left corner of screen for 30 seconds. It will disable the parking brake and speed sensor crap.
YOU GUYS ARE DOPE!! Where are you located. I have the exact same car. Factory system has always been good to/for me,and I play it loud and continuously(for several yrs). One speaker just blew. I'm thinking of getting something exactly like what you guys have done here. Can u give me a ball park figure of what I should be looking forward towards.?? Thanks again. ✌🏾❤
How much did this customer pay? I can respect when I see people and companies put pride in their builds. Absolute clean install, would definitely get mine done there.
Hey, great video man! I have the same Lexus and wanted to add carplay, since I don't want to change the amp or anything; would it just be a direct plug and play installation?
I like to see one done with a 2015 Chevy Equinox with the skinny basic radio (not the pioneer touch screen). I have that vehicle and need to replace unit.
I'm on day 3 TOMARROW for my hhr install it could be my buddy slowing me down because I find myself stopping what I'm doing to show him only to go back n do it right/fix it!/finish it!
I know you guys don't normally do custom fabrication but I was curious if you'd use MDF or ABS/PVC for a center console where one doesn't exist already. In my '93 Caprice to use a 2DIN radio I may need to resort moving it down to a console. Thanks for all the videos and information!
Hey guys! Loving your channel from The Bahamas! Question. You said that you think having the kids at 100+ on your crossover are too high for your taste. What crossover point do you usually run your speakers/subwoofer? I'm using the Alpine Type R 6.5 component in my doors and the 6x9 in the rear deck.
Pet peeve, does this bother anybody else? Coaxial (co ax-ē-ul)- a combined woofer and tweeter; versus a co-axle- I don’t even know what that is. Maybe a spare axle or two axles that work together.
Is there a guide for removing the rear deck? I assume you have to remove the seats first which for whatever reason do not fold down. I have a 2000 XLS , and I plan on separating the trim from the actual deck with some sort of sound dampening material but want to try and see what I am up against first so I can make a plan
After doing my aftermarket double din my climate control back light don’t work when I cut my headlights on all my other lights work but when I cut my lights off the climate control works ??? Please help
Nice video. Maybe you can answer my question, nobody else has been able to. I want one of the vertical, Tesla style screens that take the place of the stereo and climate controls. They have tons of different ones available for the es240, es300 and es350 series, but none for the es330? This product category skips over the es330 series and the only type avail are the standard 2DIN stereos. Any idea why? All of the Lexus ES cars have the same amount of room in general in the climate/stereo area.
Got excited when I saw this but it’s newer model. Have you done many 2000-04 Toyota Avalons? It’s got the JBL amp. Looking to do 8201NEX with rear cam and dash cam. Not sure if I should use the jbl amp or ditch it. The stereo works fine I just want updated options like CarPlay , gps, BT etc.
Nice work done... i have a question... for good audio output.. should i install 1 pair of component speakers in the front doors and normal speakers in the back doors or should i install components speakers in the back doors as well??
Hello! just curious if Five Star Car Audio have done any full System but have come half way then an big issue have come along? that have make so you have lost focus?
I wish there was a video of you all replacing a 2007 Toyota Avalon JBL System 6 disc,Non Navigation unit with a double din. There’s some harness that makes you put the factory radio in the trunk! Where the hell do I put it without it getting damaged? It also has a center speaker in the middle of the dash and a subwoofer in the center back deck. Should I bypass the factory amp? Or use the factory amp and just replace all the speakers and just add a subwoofer amp and subs to complete the install? I want to replace All the factory speakers with aftermarket. So confusing.
This is over my head I live in FL this also will be my first aftermarket stereo system i have Front and rear alpine door speakers & a Alpine Halo9 stereo also i have 2 12 kicker L7 subs with a 2400.1 watt Kicker amplifier Can someone give me a idea what a professional installation should cost me so i dont over pay
Hey just have a fast question separate from this installation... When you are running wire under the car and you put look on the wire.. Do you do anything else to the loom.. Or is the loom opening just left uncovered ? Thanks.
I'm putting a Kenwood dpx502bt in my 2003 ford expedition. What steering wheel control adaptor would you recommend ? I obviously don't have buttons to make and answer calls ? The part cruchfield sold me is access ASWC-1 ? Thank you for any help you can give me.
Hi. I have a 2003 Lexus es300 with the Mark Levinson stereo and navigation. Is it possible to install a new stereo while using the factory amp without bypassing it?
