21 years in the “NSW”Australian Police & suffering from depression, anxiety & PTSD, I find listening to the podcast that I am not alone even though it feels like I am. My fight has been different, Trans into normal life I am doing it tough. At the age of 56, I am so glad that there is Team Never Quit Podcast. I can’t explain in words how much it has helped me.

FYI guys , one of your favorite support aircraft was officially retired this past Tuesday at Hurlburt Field AFB. AC-130U "Spooky" gunship tail # 0128. I was at the ceremony and during the dedication speech I was thinking about what Marcus said about this aircraft " It's the finger of God " . As a contractor, I have supported this aircraft working along side the 4TH AMU maintainers and aircrew over the last 20 years and will miss this outstanding aircraft.
I ain't never been in the military or nothing but I played football for a long time and also have a jacked up endocrine system as well as multiple autoimmune diseases. I've flat lined 3 times and have long qt syndrome. My brain was damaged from oxygen deprivation and some concussions. I've had a pacemaker/defibrillator since I was 19. Doctors told me I wasn't gunna make it but here I am.

Every man and my mom going as far back as WW1 has served and served in the wars of our nation in all branches. We lost one, in the final days of WW2. He was a young US Marine Lt. Don Bean...shot down I believe in the North Philippine’s. Mom was a Marine E-6 and ran a program at a So.Cal Marine base directly from the base commander, sending and receiving troops to South Pacific. Her office was same as base commander! Hot Shiite! She was such a humble and gentle woman, she was always a lady. If you ever want an opinion from the left coast, originally from Montana, I’d be happy to oblige. I was in my advanced schooling after Army boot camp in Georgia when you and yer bro were born...just for giggles!

I would probably have to tell my 5 year old self to spend even more time with dad out in the garage. Upgrade from being the vacuum holder and the tool retriever asap. And also, beat up your older sister while the consequences still aren’t too harsh for making you believe that you were adopted for years, using it as blackmail and belittlement against you to force you to do things for her, and also making you believe that you can’t go ask “Mr. Larry or Mrs. Nancy” (aka mom & dad) about it, because they’ll just lie to you to make sure that you don’t feel bad and left out. My sister is still a bitch. She’s almost 31. And also, when mom or dad try to beat you, keep fighting back. Never just take it. Although I was always pretty good at defending myself physically back then, so my 5 year old self already had that part pretty well established. They stopped trying as soon as I became bigger than them at like age 12.

Seeing and hearing Marcus and Morgan interact is so funny. I am half expecting Morgan to slap the hell out of Marcus. The death stare from him every time Marcus interrupts or forgets what he's saying is just hysterical. I do miss David Rutherford on the podcast though. Something is missing because he isn't there anymore. Always interesting hearing about Redwings.
