He's the best and will be the best in the NFL out of every current college back. He's got great vision, great power, great burst, and good enough speed to be great.
My sister and I went to UGA vs Buffalo, and we LOVED it! Iused to only go to cupcakes, like Buffalo, Coastal Carolina, New Mexico State. Then, in 2013, I went to the Carolina game, the LSU game, the Mizzou game, and the Tech Game. GO DAWGS I also went to The Chick-fa-lay bowl 2013-2014,to watch my #2 team play. I root for the ags against anyone except georgia. I'm going to UGA Clemson today, and I need to get into hype. I'm watching all the big games highlights on youtube.
This dude is NFL material! He's got size and speed. He's also got incredible vision for an upcoming sophomore. He can only get better. He just has to keep his head on straight. Beast!
2014 I'm telling you with our offense and our learning defense Georgia is going to be a sleeper and surprise a lot of people. Just got to stay healthy.
Todd Gurley is a freak of nature. My Tigers came so close to getting him AND Keith Marshall. They're both fantastic runningbacks. Should be a great game in 4 days!
Imagine this guy in Dallas. You see how physical he gets with defensive linemen and linebackers. If he comes to Dallas, it'll basically be him vs defensive backs. He will rarely see a defensive linemen.
I want to pull my hair out when people say Yeldon is the best back. This guy right here is the truth in the flesh. I'm an LSU fan and love me some Alfred Blue, Kenny Hilliard, and Jeremy Hill, but you gotta give major props to the best, and he is the best. My belief is that he will better than Richardson in the NFL.
I want us to see Georgia play Bama in regular season. They knew we had their number in the SEC Champoinship game last year, Gurshall will 2 years strong with our young defense adapting slowly, a new quarter back. I'm ready for next year and this year isn't even over yet.
Yeldon and Gurley are both great, but Yeldon has an NFL ready line while Gurley had some real question marks on the edges. Now that uga has a solid returning line, we should see what he can REALLY do.
He is only as good as being able to play all the time will allow him to be. He and Marshall are both flashes in the pan this year and without them we can't even beat Vandy!
and de'anthony thomas has highlights vs better teams? have you looked at Oregons schedule? i've never seen a good highlight from de'anthony thomas vs the likes of standford(which they do play) or any other of the good teams they play. All his highlights are from crap teams as well, so stfu and get your hating bull shit out of here.
Don't say that! Let them forget about Keith Marshall, let everyone forget about him. That'll only make the one two punch that much better when the opponents forget that the second punch is coming.
Dude Marshall is no good. I don't know what games you've been watching. But every time Marshall goes in our offense stalls. He cannot break tackles and his vision is terrible. He has speed but that's about it. Nick Chubb is our #2.
Dmgolfer22 no. Marshall was unstoppable against LSU and Tennessee last year. He was injured against South Carolina so he couldn't finish the game, he wasn't 100% against North Texas and of course he was taken out against Tennessee. He's also stronger of a runner now than before. And you can't blame one guy for being the reason a drive stalls unless it's a bad penalty or dropped pass. Marshall is and will be great as long as he stays healthy.
+Enrique Gutarra If not this season or later in the season next season for sure he will be healthy and hopefully get plenty of use...not a STL fan myself but I grew up with the guy and want to see him strive in the NFL
Yeldon and Gurley are both amazing backs. But they both are two totally different backs. Gurley is speed and quickness with some power. While yeldon is more physical with some speed and quickness. They are undoubetly 1&2. But I'm taking lache seastrunk or ka'deem carey at 3.
u obviously havent seen gurley as of late. he is actually faster than last year. and watkins only had 3 touchdowns last season. thats real impressive huh?
It's easier to have a higher YPC when you're not carrying the load. Heck Keith Marshall has a better YPC than both of them, but that doesn't mean he is the better back. Also look at the O-line Yeldon was running behind vs Gurley. Sorry, Yeldon is a great back but he just isn't quite as good.
Is the order reversed? Not to downplay the University of Buffalo or Vanderbilt, but #10 and #9 against Alabama in the SEC Championship were the some of the best any RB had last year. Long runs against over matched defenses (or kickoff coverage) is not as impressive to me.
Are you kidding me? Did you watch Manziel? He was one of the most electric college players of all time. Nobody deserved it more than him. He played well enough to get it last year too.
Aaron Gothmann meh, he was k... I personally believe that there should be a professional stature to uphold. skill wise? sure he deserved it, but he has no character. really the Heisman is a popularity vote, which would make my case invalid, but whatevs. Besides, Todd is most likely out for the season therefore I don't really care anymore. John Heisman would be proud. maybe
And give up a shot at the national championship his freshman and sophomore year and get shit on by fsu, gt and usc this year. I just think he prefers the relevance at UGA.
Chris Hayes ya hes slow everyone was catching him from behind in highlight film. It doesn't matte what your 40 is until you put pads on and run then it shows how fast or slow someone is. Hes not impressive to me.
+fliptthescript he 6 foot 230... Todd can move especially for his size. Have to understand that he was Georgia work horse too, most of the runs are late in the game after he maybe had 15-20+ carries so of course he not gonna look blazing all the time .
+James Jordan Totally true people judge from plays like this, the guy was and could still be a total beast, I remember watching him in at out high school, the guy was on a different level then everyone else and he proved it in college...NFL is a different hurdle on it's own but when he is healthy I see no reason why he wouldn't be able to dominate there too
Nah not really. Gurley is stronger with slightly less i not equal speed to Yeldon. Was actually the work horse and he did better than Yeldon considering this one little tidnit you failed to mention. Yeldon ran against the 77th ranked run defense and Gurley ran against the #1 ranked run defense Yeldon 25 carries 153 yards 1TD Gurley 23 carries 122 yards 2TDs Now which one looks better do you think?
