I’m falling in love with Todd. His concern for Glamour’s back, his desire to play with Pauline, and in general real his love of toys are all so wonderful.
The interaction between Glamour and Todd is remarkable- it almost seemed that Glamour tried to cheer him up with the suggestion to play Whirly instead of Jingle Ball- and she investigated the buttons too- they are such sweet kitties, all three of them ❤
It was sweet of Todd to ask for Pauli to play, he looked so disappointed hanging out with jingle ball by the railing!😢 but it was fun seeing glamour in Todd playing so energetically together!
Poor Todd ,he seemed so sad that Paulie didn't want to play. Great to see Glamour so interested in playing, she must have been feeling a little young kitty energy.
That was lovely of Todd asking to play with Paulie. Glamour was a little star today. Coming close to the camera was nice and it was obvious she wanted something. Glad you called it and got the toy she wanted out. It will be interesting to see if she will learn a button or maybe she will consider them Todds and not want to touch them. 🐈💚
Wow he was visibly upset over the fact that Paulie wouldn’t play jingle ball with him. And the way he played with the whirly while not getting up cracked me up. I think he was still upset over Paulie not playing with him. He even kind of shoo’d your hand away when you pet him in that moment lol. Very interesting. Wow, this really does show how they hold onto their feelings for a little bit. This is a very interesting study on cats actually. ☺️
@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalks. Since you have multiple jingle balls now have you thought about getting multiple out when the other cats are there? Paulie might be willing to play if they aren't competing for the same toy even though Todd is wanting to share
Wow, Glamour absolutely loves the Whirly-Butterfly toy that Todd asked you to make! I hope that eventually Paulie will build up his courage and be able to play with the others. It's so nice to see all three kitties in a video.
Yes, that is something he started a while back. He knows if he is not playing with a battery operated toy I will turn it off so he would lay there on his back and hold out a paw so it would come around and touch it then look at me like What? I'm playing with it. Lol.
Todd lazily touching the TV so Dad won't turn it off, while Glamour positively tries to eat the whole thing in her eager moments (and Paulie off-screen just cautiously observing the scene). Wonderful display of vastly different personalities ❤️
Who says cats dont empathize? He wanted to include Paulie. I have 5 cats (its a long story lol. Im a sucker for cats. Guess its not so long a story after all lol) and eatching todd gives me insight into their interactions with each other
Huh, I thought Glamour was just ready for her close-up! But she wanted a specific toy. Todd was so nice to invite Paulie to play. But I guess Paulie takes the pecking order to heart and is still not sure Todd will be nice to him. My goodness, I've never seen Glamour move so much!

I wonder if Todd is remembering back when he wasn't so nice to Paulie, and trying to figure things out. And I wonder if Glamour will use the button - Todd was certainly interested when you were explaining the buttons to her!
@@elizabethbotros1404 They are all the names that were given to them at the shelter. Being there is traumatic enough and I didn't want to make it any harder by them having to learn a new name when they may have been getting used to the one they were being called.
Cool to see so much of Glamour in this video. She was very talkative, and then got her EXTREME close up in the camera! LOL She was really diggin' that butterfly whirly toy! Nice of Todd to want to play with Paulie and the jingle ball. Paulie didn't seem to know what to make of the whole thing though. Too bad.

Glamour honestly talks just fine. Dad> Hey Glamour? Glamour> What? Dad> Come look. Glamour> Ok. I don't recall the exact conversation, but the syllables and sound sure match up to appropriate responses 😹 Poor Paulie tried so hard for so long to be welcomed into the full clowder, now that he finally gets his chance, he's as cautious as Charlie Brown should be when Lucy holds the football for him to kick. I predict that Todd won't give up on trying to be a good brother. ❤
Glamour was the star of the show today, including her close-up into the camera! lol I love her nickname. I wonder if Todd was saying "bird toy," because he thought it should be included in the "whirly" learning for Glamour since it is what he created?

Yes, If I were Paulie lying contentedly in the hallway and Todd came running full speed ahead, I would have fled too. In fairness to Todd, there was the time he just tried to gently bat the jungle ball towards Paulie and got no response. 😏

@@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalks So...Glamour was first, as a kitten. Then Paulie came along when Glamour was about 4. Paulie was 1 or 2 when you got him. Then Todd came along about 4 years later, as a kitten. Am I correct? 😂 It is unusual for a kitten to chase and not like an older, established cat, in the family. I wonder why Todd did not like Paulie from the get go? I can't imagine Paulie coming around at his age, when both he and Todd have known each other for quite a few years, but one can hope! Did Paulie and Glamour get along? Do they now? I am just so curious! Thanks.
Looks like Glamour may want to use those buttons to communicate. Watch the way she hovers around them , meows and addresses you. She wanted to tell you something. It may well have been about the toy you gave her to play but it still says something about her. She may be a little jealous of Todd because he gets what he wants and she has connected the buttons as the reason. Cat's are smart.
That made me think about cat “sibling” interaction. Is it that Todd and Glamour Dad’s cats and Paulie Mom’s. Is it territory , that upstairs belong to Todd and Glamour and Todd in the past always chased Paulie to go downstairs? Is it some form of dominance that Paulie is lower in hierarchy, or feels like an outsider when upstairs? I think cats in the wild had to be respectful of more dominant cats’ territory and Paulie has that behavior ingrained, so it is hard for him to trust that Todd now wants to play with him. And it is fascinating that Todd has been able to learn that Dad wants him to be nice to Paulie and is able to offer toys even when Paulie is so hesitant. We will continue to watch for this drama to unfold. Some sibs never do get along and at best will tolerate each other. Todd wanted Paulie to play, but instead got to play with his best love, Glamour!!!!!!
Would Mom be willing to come up and sit at the far end of the Jingle Ball Arena and be Paulie 's battle buddy? Some of my cats are braver around the others if I am with them

Maybe Glamour should have her own buttons. She has walked through Todd's buttons several times now. It's possible that Todd will help teach her. He's very perceptive and generous.
I'm thinking Paulie may have mistaken Todd's running at the Jingle Ball as a charge at him. He seemed very startled and maybe a little scared. That may be why he is hesitant to interact with Todd and Glamour at the Whirley.
I'm sure he did. Before working with Todd he was not very nice to him. He would never hurt him but would chase him away if he came upstairs. Todd is over that now and is trying to be friends.

hi dad! i have a question that I'm sure you've been asked a thousand times. what's a good way to start kitties talking with the buttons? I have a siames kitten, who is 4 months old, who has already taught himself how to open doors and play fetch. I've not taught him anything, he is doing this by himself. he is an Einstein of kitties. he is highly food motivated, he'll do anything for food. what would you suggest?
Great question. I don't recommend starting with a food or treat button but something like a favorite toy or game or activity they love to do. Model all your buttons. Show them them button, and when they are looking at it, press the button and repeat what it says, then do the activity. In my opinion, the biggest challenge is to get them to acknowledge the buttons and touch them. Once you can get them to do that, it's just learning to concept associated with the button. Do not force them to press a button. It can create negativity towards them. There is also a great, free started guide on the FluentPet website. Feel free to ask questions, I'll help if I can.

I'm thinking for him, the hardest part will be pushing the button. i think he'll get touching it just fine. (he'll be copying me). another question i just thought of. Some people, like you, put all the buttons in one place. where others put the button near the activity. (like the garden button near the back door) and only one button there. I'm thinking i want to do them like you do, but would you change the arrangement if you could?
No, she is a talker and has done this since day one 16 years ago. I watch her closely and can tell if she doesn't want or like the pets. She talks and walks while being petted and brushed.
