It occurs to me on looking at the buttons board that Todd is a lot smarter than most humans, because having seen my fellow humans play card card games and unable to successfully play the simple game Pairs, whilst Todd knows where are all those buttons with human words, he's also in a second language, he never fails. I'd hate to play cards with Todd for money - I'd be broke in an hour!😂 He amazes me more with every video. So dolphins know their own names, and the names of every other dolphin on their group, and can tell and ask. So they are very smart but Todd also knows all this, and in a non animal language! He knows past present future too, what else does Todd know that we haven't put to the test yet? We don't know what else he knows, which blows my mind away! Love you Todd❤take good care of Glamour, Paulie and Dad!❤❤
Dad, Todd is very interested in learning. You said he knows 62 words. Do you have to keep revising the old words as you teach him new words? How are you sure, he retains the words over time?❤❤❤🙌🏻
I love how Todd holds his head up so dad can brush down his neck. It's amazing to me hwo fast he learns each new word. He will be using these words in just days if not hours. It was almost 6 months before my cat pushed the food button.
Very jealous of you being able to BRUSH & COMB Todd like that. My medium hair really needs it daily, but will not allow! Also very nice to see that your GENIUS feline will still say I Love You by sticking his butt in your face!! My little one does it constantly. She has the sweetest little face with a tiny racing strip on her nose; But I know her best by her very detailed and map-like (if you were a Tom) butt/etc markings!! And 2 or 3 inches is not too close in her mind.
@@mirjanbouma I mean I don’t quite understand why he is teaching that word specifically or exactly how the modeling of the word went. If I was Todd I would be confused by that one.
I dont understand why he used the word settle...such a strange word to teach anyone. I dont even know what good settle means...Ive never heard anyone say it in 60 years.
Just when you are depressed because the world is falling apart...I can come and watch something normal. I have five cats...one feral that is not friendly and her kittens went to rescue. I now have five more and they come out of the cage like bullets. Probably none remotely as intelligent as Todd...he is a very uniquely gifted cats. None of my nine dogs are geniuses either...I think I may need a border collie.
I enjoy watching how eager he is to learn new words, he is so freaking smart. Do you ever have to train or remodel words for him that he doesnt use often like Billi used to do at times? She used to do training times with Billi to help re-enforce them, or does Todd just get it then moves forward without any issue?
@@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalks That's really wonderful. Would it be possible to ask him which new word he wants? Maybe you suggest words for a new button and he chooses yes or no. Maybe there are words he'd like to have on buttons, and others not so much?
He always gets words in groups of 3. Usually 2 easier words and a new or harder word. He picks things up quickly but if he starts to get frustrated understanding a word we can switch to another word for a while and come back to it. He wants to learn and gets upset if he can't grasp concepts as fast as he wants to.
