Man these trucks are amazing now, well always have been but back when I was a kid a jump that high and all 4 tires would have ripped off and the truck would have been layin frame. Props to the engineers, crew members and drivers for keeping these things together so they can continue to please the crowd. BRAVO
80s kid here so they where like the ultimate as a child lucky as I was to grow up in the 80s with Nintendo coming out then we were good all the way until pagers and cell phones, things haven’t been the same since smh but anyway I can remember when they started out as real off the lot trucks then were made into monsters, Bigfoot and Grave Digger just dominated anything monster truck wise back then, it was cool to just crush cars literally that was the race. Kids nowadays wouldn’t even watch if all they did was crush rows of cars over and over! I did and miss those days (Charlotte Coliseum)
@@brandonlee6158 I still have my Excalibur t-shirt autographed by Charlie Pauken and and a Nitemare shirt with Kirk Dabney's on it. I had the pleasure of seeing Tim Arfons jet powered Quadracer called Kamakazi. I don't think a smoking, flamey jet anything would be allowed in an indoor area today. Man I miss the 80's, that was awesome!
@@aaronjohnson9529 I went to a NASCAR race at Bristol Tennessee... Talk about loud OMG.. I always thought watching on tv the spectators were listening to radio frequency of their favorite drivers with those shooting noises cancelling headsets? It could actually damage your ears permanently.
@@aaronjohnson9529 Thanks for heads up! Someone else told me the same thing about the Hot Wheels Monster Truck Live show too. I had headphones for my son. Very good call!
I can remember when monster trucks had leaf springs and would jump or run over 4 cars at a time. I just got out of school and Dennis Anderson claimed he was going to jump 10 cars at the York Fair of course we had to go see it he cleared those 10 and probably 4 more with leaf springs yes he bounced around a bit but at that time that was incredible I have been a Anderson fan ever since years ago I can recall talking to him at Fischerville Virginia. Adam was about 3-4 years old now him and his brother are doing great running the trucks. I also remember watching Dennis in LA which he won the qualifying time and the reporter talked to him after the run and he stated that the throttle stuck wide open and he was just trying to brake to finish qualifying which he was the top qualifier
Monster jam used to be so much more popular when I was younger in like 1st grade 2010 all the kids had the toys and watched the events it seems like it kinda fell off
Imagine traveling back in time, grabbing the original Big Foot guys and saying "you guys want to see something cool" then bringing them to the present to bare witness to modern day Monster Jam?"
@@bydand1987It is a sponsor deal sort of. Big foot was in monster jam. But it came down to money. Royalty on merchandise and of course Firestone and BKT. Monster jam didn't want to pay so big foot left. More or less people do say that there was more to it but really just money.
Right in front of both front and rear differentials their is a huge break rotor and calipers, they smoke em all the time. Watch it again, you'll see the same smoke coming from the same spot at the front of the truck right where the other break is
How in the world did the driver/pilot survive the landing uninjured?? The design of the cockpit has to be incredibly well engineered. Along with the rest of the truck! MAN!!!
@@Madanth0ny his comment has a finger pointing to the number of likes. The whole point is literally to say "like this if you think monster trucks are cool" and then a finger pointing and saying "this many people think monster trucks are cool" I'm surprised this is so hard for you people to understand.
@@16vSciroccoboi damn bro. Did you go to Harvard University. You sound smart. But yea I though he was hating. Didn’t realize he was saying to like if you think they cool 😂. My bad dog. Ima like it now.
I use to work at MGM Springfield back in 2018 and saw a monster truck performance in the hockey rink, but man, that was nothing compared to this. This is out of control crazy!!! Firstly, the rink was way too small pull off any stunts like this.
That's near the world record for highest jump. But it's kinda weird. The world record for highest jump is 38 feet I think but I've seen a clip of avenger sending it in the air, which had to have been more than 30.
@@Da-Homies The Guinness world record for highest "ramp jump" by a monster truck is 33' 9.6" by the legendary Grave Digger driven by Dennis Anderson's daughter Krysten Anderson. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wWwAnib9TXg.html There have probably been higher jumps, But none have been certified by Guinness.
I finally noticed the smoke coming from the brakes as he slows the wheels down to change the moment of inertia so it doesn't over flip. This is some serious physics here.
