I love that Todd Terry (47) still looks like he's about 27 years old and the inert d-bags texting behind him are fading into absolutely NOTHING as we speak! They will never understand how enormous his legacy is in shaping the dancefloor mp3's they steal today! Personally, I love his early-90's Freeze work the best but, it goes back even further because he pioneered breaks with house in the 80's, hip hop bassline drops over sprays of machine gun-staccato drums, live turntable FX, ninja sampling of pop songs. So unparalleled, he's still the gold standard!
This guy deserves his status. What a legend he has become in the house scene. His production skills and remixes are some of the best in the house scene.
Breaks my heart after all these years to see a proper house DJ like Todd waste his time with this lot loitering in the background, it's more like a funeral wake than a party. TT's beats as sharp & snappy as ever, never fails to rock a floor (apart from here of course 😂)
Que horrible ver jovenes asi!! quien le dijo a Todd que fuese ahi donde en vez de rendirle tributo a su trayectoria, es una especie de burla a su persona y trabajo y carrera como productor y dj. Abur!!
Todd the God.. the word legend gets used to often but todd is a true pioneer of house music and I've been lucky enough to see him a bunch of times.. he never disappointed me.. my favourite Producer/DJ of all time
Love the little boiler room sets but always seems to only be 1/2 people who genuinely appreciate the fact they are in the presence of an incredible DJ, up close and personal... just sat there looking at their phones....
@@steveanderson7864 I'm afraid I only pointed out how pathetic it was to revive a dead thread so you can defend an e-girl---one who will never see, nor be affected by, either of your comments.
The year is 2022, streamed this over my studio sound system for the past 7-8 yrs...and myself and clients in attendance STILL start moving at the @13:42 mark, that transition will last FOREVER🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤❤
+John Bissonnette well I dont know if you heard about Jeremy Underground but he is an awsome Dj and does jump and wave his hands. And Louie Vega is also not far away from jumping like crazy. Not the way you're expressing your feelings towards music show how good you are. I think it strictly depends on the personality.
Ya I get that. I just do go for charging people $300.00 for a ticket, then jumping around to compensate for fake DJ'ing to a pre arranged set. No integrity in that on any level. I like seeing a DJ actually DJ and pick songs. They don't need to be all flashy for me. I'm from a time when DJ's were in a dark corner and people sometimes didn't even know they were there.
Everything seems so smooth and easy. Mr. Tod Terry it´s just like the wine, im sorry he isn´t getting the proper atention because he is a legend in house music. I still ear his session eight from MOS17 years ago and he stills perfect in our days.
I went though a ton of these videos and watched the different dj's mix closely, and even though a few others have some fancy tricks and maneuvers, this guy is by far the best when it comes to what is most difficult and counts the most, blending the tracks seamlessly.. was blown away, todd terry should be top dj in the world, he is the best based on actual djing, not production or popularity,
YES! I would say that the new producer/DJs owe everything to people like him, but they aren't even close to his musical abililities to produce music that even sounds somewhat similar. So, I guess they lost their way a long time ago. lol
Bro...I was today years old when I noticed DJ Sneak over to the right...good gawd take me back to my 2000+ pre-RU-vid available mixes lol you either had to BE THERE, KNOW WHERE TO LOOK, or KNOW SOMEBODY LOO out of the 3 that sht won't exactly free, you want a DJ Sneak set you had to work for it some kind of way lol ❤❤🔥🔥❤❤
An absolute living LEGEND! Did anyone go to the Hard Times rave in Leeds back in '95? I was at the Camden Palace one in London but wish I had gone to Leeds!
Aye. Me an' 4 mates from just outside Edinburgh drove down. Loved Leeds. Went regular as it was the best atmosphere during clubbing years over ANY town/city. Used to go to Ronson and Basics a lot too. Mental nights. Sure my mate has still got the Hard Times gate-fold double vinyl. Must ask him to dig it out again. Might not move as quick but can still nod me head.....
That tune that kicks in @ 26:00 gives me the bumps...............Im sure its a Todd Terry remix from the album Todd Terry Project* - Todd Terry Project Album 1992?
This men is a fucking professional. house music is another part of your body and this is the real difference with another djs today. Maximun respect for the one father of house music.
