Todd Vanlangen of Beretta talks about the APX A1, Trigger Time TV What are the major differences between the APX Mod ) and the APX A1 www.beretta.com www.triggertimetv.com
I purchased the APX-A1 brought it home and gave it a through cleaning. Went to take off the optic cover plate and one of the screws snapped off even after letting the plate and screw soak in Kroil for 8 days. Called Beretta and sent it back, that was 5 weeks ago! Still no pistol and no updates!
At 1:55, Todd made an incorrect statement about the new Beretta APX A1 Full Size! In order to install any Optics on the APX A1 Full Size, an “Optics Plate” must be installed, & mount the Optics to the plate. You cannot install any Optics to the Slide! That’s totally incorrect! I just received my NIB Beretta APX A1 Full Size, & purchased a Burris Fastfire 4, the Beretta Burris Optics Plate RDO is enroute for delivery 👍 Major Issue Alert: Beretta APX A1 has an issue with the OEM Optics Plate Screw! I had to take my NIB Beretta APX A1 to an experienced professional gunsmith to have the optics plate screw removed! Beretta is over torquing the plate screw , thus causing removal of that left screw to be a horror of it’s own making 😡 After, a month of waiting, I recently got my Beretta APX A1 back from my gunsmith. I had the APX A1 slide cerakote in “Graphite Elite” then, installed the Burris Fastfire 4. Next, installed the Galloway Precision 22lb. Captured Guide Rod/Spring Assembly, & Galloway Precision Stainless Steel Striker Pin Assembly, too👍 👉Reference point is Beretta Customer Support Team.
My first and last beretta. Trigger sucks. Slide hard to operate. Beretta service sucks. When I finally talked to Beretta they told it has to be broken in. Do not recommend this gun for any application especially carry.
Great gun.. but let's face the facts.. The trigger is total crap.. I can't believe Beretta put such a bad trigger on any of their guns .. I'll just wait to carry it until they come out with a trigger kit .
I wouldn't say total crap. The trigger on my original APX is decent. And it gets better/smoother the more rounds you put through it. Also you could always buy the upgraded firing pin spring assembly from Beretta for 25 dollars which instantly takes some weight off the trigger pull.
