Thanks for sharing these ideas. Our son doesn't touch any of his toys. Likes to play with everyday objects that we all use. Initially i used to get frustrated but now I have stopped buying toys and let him play with household objects. I'm going to try some of the ideas that you have mentioned here. Agree that toys have to be open ended. :-)
Wow u knw i am looking for ideas for my 18months old since months . She doesn't play with toys at all and i moved to another country so don't have her stuff yet. So i was looking for ideas i can make her play with the minimum things i have right nw. And here i found u. Great ideas thank u so so much. And that too from an indian proud 👍
I just tried a version of your first example. My daughter is a year and 5 months, she had so much fun playing with the beans and uncooked noodles, especially when I shook her plastic bowl
All these activities are okay to oeep ur child busy at home... But what abt ehen u wanna be attending a birthday party or wedding events how do u keep them occupied all day long without having toys or screen time??
Hey Vidya, I've seen this kind of activity for the very first time. I appreciate the content but on the flip side, I'm afraid a toddler might disrespect food or edible items thinking it's an object to play with. what do you think?
Can you please give details on newborn bathing, clearing cord, breastfeeding techniques in separate video? I think I request too much but what to do. All your videos are so good and so well described our expectations from you going huge. Hopes you are doing well. Bye
Absolutely, as with any activity, choose according to your child's age and stage, and supervise babies and toddlers. At 2 years old, my son hardly put toys in his mouth, and was very interested in peeling.

This video was very thoughtful. Can you make a video on food given during 1-2yrs.My daughter is 1 yr old and she doesnt eat much..what are the essential food during this age and some compulsory food that you need not skip. Thankyou
Love the cardboard box idea! I like how all your activities involve things that we can find around the house. Would love it if you could share more ideas like these in the future as I’m really keen on engaging my kids in play that doesn’t involve buying more toys.
Wow it’s so amazing !! I have a LO who’s age is 2.5 years n he’s super active n always needs a activity .. All the ideas with household things are just superb , I’ll surely give a try .
Hi.. my baby is already doing all these things.. but I took it as he is destroying the things. And I again keep buying toys for him to keep him busy and active. By listening u today I realise that by doing all these he is learning also. He does not always need costly things to learn.. thank u
I have been following your videos since few days u r amazing 😉 and all were so informative n very natural , specially about the toddler books 📚 great effort honestly very helpful

Such amazing ideas! And yet so simple.. really underscores the fact that we don't need to spend a lot of money on children's toys to keep them engaged. And the way you explained is also pretty great and didn't feel self-important 😊 thanks again for the great tips. Gonna try them all
Babies start talking at different ages, there is a wide range of normal. Talk with the baby, and respond to the sounds they make. Books are excellent for learning words. This is some good information: www.whattoexpect.com/first-year/first-words/

Hi Vidya, been following your videos for a while ☺I'm still pregnant and awaiting my little one anytime now. I was just wondering if you could make a video for activities for 0-12months old babies. What kind of play/books can we introduce? Thanks alot! :)
Shwetha S I have a video about toys for the first year. Will make a video about books and activities too. Thank you for writing and good luck with your delivery! Excited for you!!
Hello vidya Ur videos are simple n amazing My son is 14 months wanted to ask you when to wean off breast milk and how? 2. Should i give roti as it is or in mashed form he has 8 teeths is??
I weaned at age 2. It should be right for both of you. Roti can be given as is, soft and soaked in dal. I would make pieces, and dip in dal/ghee and place on his tray.
I’m a big brother and I’m 13,my little brothers are 3.5 and 1.5 and my problem is that since I never had a sibling till I was almost 10 I always treat them like my friends,I start shouting at them(jokingly) sometimes and other stuff a teen boy would do with his friends but the thing is I just realized today how much that can mess him up(3.5 yr old)and that he will think that I hate him and don’t care about him and he looks at me with the 1.5 year old treating him so well and everything like I feel so bad about myself I’m crying while typing this I fucking hat myself and I want to be a better brother but I don’t know how please can somebody give me advice
