She tossed a FIT that I changed my mind and did not let her go with him. And he was very very apologetic and very very nervous I might add ...as he left WITHOUT my girl in tote. I immediately then called his house to check in with his wife and check in with my internal alarm bells... she wasn't home. I got the answering machine. They live just two streets over from us. Within moments, He returned my call. "They had left before he got back." Hmmmmmm. Really?? There was NOTHING I could do other than to no longer allow my daughter to go to their house. I get so stressed when I tell this story. My insides... ugh. and it makes me want to cry knowing that my little girl was in such danger. I have no idea if anything happened before that when she slept at their home. I have asked her if she had ever had any inappropriate experiences growing up. She's now about to turn 21. She says no. I still wonder b/c I know these things can be blocked out. And I know, if these things are blocked, they also come to surface when a person is ready to face it. I am in high hopes that she was not ever violated. I went to great lengths to protect her all through her life. I hope I was successful. I am not familiar with the acronyms you use. I live in the States. I am guessing what they mean. CSA-Childhood Sexual Abuse. CSE... I am thinking is a typo? meant to be CSA? You keep up your fight and bringing awareness. So that parents take the information seriously. As I did. It was watching talk shows who interviewed survivors like yourself that had me on the alert. I think that is part of the problem. Parents think it won't happen to their child and they neglect being proactive. PREVENTION is the key!!
