Oh 1992, I came to the US from Colombia in 1990 and the first time I heard freestyle I fell in love with it and I'm still listen to it. FREESTYLE FOREVER.
Though I live in the US, I was born and raised in Brazil and grew up on freestyle. It just ruled!! This has got to be one of top 10 freestyle tracks ever !!! Damn days will never be the same again !! I'm 30 now and still enjoy it just as much as before !! Dancing to it was just surreal at the clubs / parties.
i remember when i was a lil boy and when this song came on the radio my mom would blast the hell out of it and im pretty sure shes the reason i love it so much
for some reason seeing this video makes me feel so nolstalgic, its probably because songs back then were good and this video has some moments that reminds me of when i was a lil kid
i remember having my mother and my older cousins always listening 2 this song and other songs like diamond girl these songs blow my mind... i love them!!!
One of my FAVORITE dance tunes of all time! I was fill-in dee-jay at a dance that had a jazz band. This was the song I opened my set with, and a scream went up and the floor was full in a second!!! Good times!
Damn, what a great Hi-NRG beat and a killer freestyle dance tune this is. Whenever this came on the radio, I just had to crank it up. This was "the sound" of a lot of tunes in '91. Corina "Temptation" comes to mind and has a similar background as well. Great stuff, thanks for the memories!!!
wow.. it's been ages. since I've heard this...brings me back to LA GEAR... british knights guess overalls...silk shirts... hammer pants and shoes..aquanet and all that good stuff.
always loved the audio production of this song. although havent heard song through the years until now.... still hot!!! great structure. my respcects to the producers, songwriter, and off course the great Lissette Melendez.
This was the best era, musically. The artists, the music, everything. I've never seen this video, so she was famous without the help of mtv. Melendez paved the way for artists like jlo (who sucks by the way).
For all that you dont know after her freestyle carrer she moved to Salsa.. releasing a CD.. yup most freestylers moved to salsa.. India, George Lamond, even Safire
All I can say is Power 96! She performed at ny friends club back in the day and there were so many hot women there. Clubs nowadays suck and so does most of the songwriting/music.
how come she didnt make it big? i still listen to her, true to life cd and is enchanting, did she get ripdoff like other artist by theyr managers and record labels?
lol true we can't deny that, just trying to keep up with the looks and style to be cool :), it never changes,i tell my teenagers you just wait 20 years from now your kids will be laughing at the styles they wore lol
