One of Jesus' famous seven '"I am" sayings was "I am the bread of life." He was making a claim that, above and beyond everything else we look for, rely on and find satisfaction in, he alone can give what is eternal; he alone gives life.
Last week we saw how God provided food for the journey, this week Jesus is the food for the soul.
