NOTE: The discolored water in the toilets is just due to hard water from the well.
I finally got around to replacing the 2002 Crane Plumbing Galaxy Lite at my camp, and installed a Glacier Bay Power Flush toilet. I tried to make this "how to replace a toilet" video as instructional as possible - not really for the toilet community, but for anyone looking to replace a toilet. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to ask!

Nice job getting the crane toilet out. My grandpa has a glacier bay toilet as well. He extended his bathroom in his house and he replaced his toilet but he is saving it and he was making the old toilet have decorative for Christmas like Christmas stuff in it LOL! 😂 awesome job man

Your video is very well done. Anyone who has never removed and replaced a toilet should be able to do it easily after viewing your video and following your instructions. The flush on this toilet is impressive. It is certainly an improvement over the Galaxy Lite.

Honestly older toilets are way better than newer ones.

I love how I watched the entire video even though I've watched a million videos like this and I've actually done this job multiple times before lol

There are 2 things that really bothered me in this video. The floor, why is there a giant cut going through the whole floor, and why does nobody do anything about it? The fact that you didn't remove every single atom of old wax off the flange. I remember when I was installing my Kohler Highline, my dad brought in a little mini pressure washer or something like that, and rinsed the hell out of the flange until it was completely clean, before installing a Tightseal elastomer gasket.

Oh shit now I gotta add the fact that you let your watch go inside the old tank

The floor was done by my grandpa, and I’m really not sure why there’s that big slice down the middle. Leaving a bit of wax on the flange won’t hurt anything, since you’re putting a new one on anyway. And I did rinse my watch off afterwards 😂

Hey I remember watching the original video on this Galaxy Lite way back when you were a little kid. What was your motivation to replace it?

The main reason was I wanted an elongated one, but this one clogged a lot too so that contributed to the reason.

Understandable. I personally would've chosen a Kohler Highline, which I replaced my Proflos with. 2 years and still zero clogs.

Do you know if the black stealth device in the tank is removable?

I’m not quite sure, I’ll be there tomorrow so I’ll see if it is or not.

Unfortunately it doesn’t look like it is. I’m guessing it’s an integral part to the flush valve and if that’s the case it could only be removed by taking the tank off and removing the whole flush valve.

@@ToiletsOfTheUP yeah, they told me I'd have to take the tank off. If the flush valve is the thing in the middle, that comes off. Just turn it to the left(I think) I dont know if the water level thing is replaceable. Toilet has been working good, but I doubt it'll last as long as other toilets if u can't take parts off easily. The Niagara models have a clamp to take it out of the tank. The Glacier Bay model doesn't for some reason
