The performers of this lakalaka comprise members of the Tokaikolo Ia Kalaisi Church. The highest ranking performers or vahenga are the Hon. Titilupe Fanetupouvavau Tuivakano and Lord Vaha'i. The lyrics were composed by Paula Taufa as a special tribute to the Coronation of His Majesty King George Tupou V. The tune was produced by Pahulu Sefo, the choreographers Vatuvei, Mafi Latu and Kalaosia Tupou.

Damn, I love Tongan group singing. So harmonious, the accappella singing sends chills up my spine. The chants of our ancestors and the power of choral community singing of an ordinary Tongan village. It's in our blood as is the rest of Polynesia. Polynesian choral music has got to be the most moving powerful type of choir singing in the world. We automatically know which part we each fit in whether it's tenors, bass, sopranos, alto etc. We just know how to blend our voices together. MALIE TONGA!

Powerful sound indeed. Probably the strongest voices in all Pacific nations.

Hi Timothy! Yes it was a lot of fun to be in Tonga during all festivities, or whenever there is an occasion. It's history, and I love it! Thanks for the comments.

Hey Lewanavanua, the person in the yellow is Tu'ilokamana. She is part of the Tuita clan. She is Princess Pilolevu's sister in-law. Take care..

@pk pastit "Pea tau fiefia, hakai langitau, Monu kuo too, 'i he hema mo mata'u." "Pea tau fiefia": Let us rejoice "haka he langi kuo tau" metaphor expression of exceeding joy expressed in dance (haka). ""Monu kuo too": blessing that has fallen "'I he hema mo mata'u": on the left and the right (reffering to the blessing all around us).
