Tokio Hotel TV [Episode 43] MTV VMA 2008: Music, Mayhem, TH 

A lot of bands say "we would like to thank our fans", this is the first time that I actually feel that they really meant this. Bill seems so sincere and Tom does when he agrees also.

... Today it's been exactly six years from this night. I still remember me watching this, completely unaware of what VMAs were and completely unaware that you would be one of the guests of the show that night. I still remember me at like 4.00AM, and seeing you winning this award, and screaming with no voice. It's been six years but I still perfectly remember it, I still know every word of Bill's speach by heart, and I still get chills and tears in my eyes every single time I watch this, like every year, because I'm so proud of you. This is one of the most beautiful memories I have with you guys, and one of the most beautiful memories in my life, ever. You are my life, Tokio Hotel. I totally remember watching the VMAs on tv in high school and being like "holyyyy shit!!"

yes same here!!! My parents didn't think they would win because they think that people dont like them here only in Germany but they were proved wrong! I was crying so hard when they said their name! I am beyond proud of them and i am so glad that they broke out of their shell and started singing and touring here right around the time i moved here from Germany! I love you guys!!!!!

Tokio Hotel is a breath of fresh air from the boy bands of late. Can you say, Donny Osmond or David Cassidy? Wow what a shocker, from picking up the CD in the store for my kids Birthday, because the female artist on the front looked interesting. And the name of the CD seemed interesting as well. Came home to find out what they were all about and ha I gotta say Bill and the band are so genuine and so open to their fans. Its great keepit up guys even the older ladies like you guys.
