Raian is just like his granddad Erioh. Erioh just relied on brute force until he was defeated in a kengan match then he went back to the Kure clan to improve his techniques. Same thing happened to Raian after this fight.

For those who don't know, this character was based on Ryan gracie, the most brutal and cruel of the jiu jitsu Gracie clan, he was famous for his performances on PRIDE fights and also his street fights on late 90's and the begening of the 00's, the police hated him so much and misteriously he was found dead in a prision on december 2007, only 10h after getting arrested by the cops, they claimed it was a heart problem but the family denies everything.

Raian is top tier even without removal the boi just loves to brawl. he didn't use a kure technique because they're all made to kill. The manga goes hard af.

Ohma was not ready for that fight. But after that fight no one can stand against him not even kuroki gensai who win the between them but ohma is seriously injured and his heart is at the limits.

This is definitely my favorite fight in Kengan Ashura!

I kept hearing people compare Kengan to Baki so I decided to check this out. This is so much better than Baki. These fight scenes are beautifully choreographed. There’s an actual back and forth. In baki, all they do is stand there and exchange blows while yapping. There’s actually fighting in kengan

In the first phase Ohma was landing the hits, but slowly Raian capitalized and got the upper hand, indicating he was stronger than Ohma in both of their base form In the second phase Ohma with Advance is slightly above base Raian, it seemed like a back and forth but Ohma was landing more hits. 3rd Phase Ohma with advance and Raian with Removal were on par with each other, but Raian eventually got the upper hand, implying that Raian with Removal > Ohma with Advance Last phase, with both in their base forms again, Ohma got the upper hand this time because the moment he started using inner tactics he was dominating in the fight, Raian may have landed some few hits but he was mostly getting his shit rocked in the entirety of the last phase.

The Niko is actually possible in some ways. Not all but some. That last technique he used was simply an Osoto Gari followed with a downward punch. I know it’s called “Iron Breaker - Revolution”, but that’s simply what the technique would be described as in real life.

I always wondered if Nogi would have had Hatsumi switch blocks with Ohma how fast Hatsumi would have bodied Raian with how cocky and unserious he was taking the fight with Ohma lol
