I only went through Narita and I found it very easy to navigate inside. There are more flights available to and from there, with plenty of different options and the people at the airport are very nice and welcoming to tourists and they speak fluent English. I got my JR pass there with ease and my portable wifi too. Totally advise to get one. The trip on the train is very refreshing. I took the 36 minute train from Keisei Line. I also feel like the Haneda airport might be a little too crowdy so I didn't choose it. On the way back I went on Narita Express which was totally fine too.
@@smartara1493 Thanks for the comment and i agree with 95% of what you said 🤣 I actually prefer Haneda than Narita because i usually fly in the afternoon and reach close to midnight so the airport is always empty by then and i'd just hop into the airport hotel (of course grabbing an egg sandwich from Lawson first) for a hot shower and great night's sleep. I'd usually book the rooms with views of the runway so i'd be greeted by planes taking off and landing as soon as i wake up. It's an awesome way to start the day in Japan for me, always!
@@trishalsua Hi! I can recommend two hotels for you at Haneda. The first one is the Haneda Excel Hotel Tokyu, connected at Terminal 2 so just head there when you land, you don't even have to leave the airport. The next hotel which is slightly cheaper, is the Hotel JAL City Haneda Tokyo West Wing. They have free shuttle buses that run until 12 am everyday that will take you to your hotel (7 mins away) If you're landing exactly at 11 pm, you might have time to pass through immigration and hop on the bus but i usually would just book the one right in the terminal itself. Do book in advance as these hotels are usually in very high demand! Let me know if you have any more questions.
Oh yes! I remember landing in Tokyo on my first trip. I was really overwhelmed by the language, sounds, signs in japanese, etc. Yes I am a bit of a Japan fanboy 😁
I've been to Japan 5 years ago. We flew from Manila-NAIA (MNL) and arrived in Tokyo-Narita (NRT) as we arrive in Japan for the first time. I didn't critique about what's inside, but I enjoyed the Narita Express. As we went back home to Metro Manila after Day 9 in Japan, we took Narita again, flying back to NAIA.
It currently depends on where your going to visit Here are the examples Tokyo Tower - Near Haneda Metropolitan Hotels - Mostly near Haneda Shibuya - Near Haneda Naritasan Shinshoji Temple & Omotesando - Near Narita Cosmopolitan Hotels - Mostly near Narita Both can be a good choice for you
Haven’t been to Haneda yet but I kinda love Narita. I’ve gotten really good priced tickets in and out of Narita, and they have HOT SHOWERS. There’s nothing like a hot shower and a bowl of ramen before boarding a long flight, esp after walking around Tokyo all day
Oh yes! I absolutely need my ramen and hot shower right after i come off the flight. Thats why shower facilities are SO important to me 😂 need to wash off that “airplane stink”
I am traveling from Hawaii to Bangkok with an 18 hour layover in Haneda, I booked a 1 night hotel stay at the Royal Park Hotel, located inside the airport. I am concerned if we will be allowed to stay at this hotel, during our 18 hour layover. I am traveling with an elderly mother and a 2 year old baby. Does anyone know if we are allowed to stay? Any advice or information is so appreciated! Thank you 🙏🏼
Hi Sabrina, i’m not sure when you will be travelling but tourists are not allowed into Japan at this moment. I know your hotel is in the airport but to get to it you technically have to enter the country by passing through immigration. I have stayed at this same hotel 3 times but that was before Covid. I am afraid you will be denied and have to spend the 18 hours in the transit area. Also from the hotel’s website it says the transit hotel is currently suspended, so i would double check the booking. I would email the hotel staff as well and see if they can offer you more info. They usually have English speaking staff that can help (if they aren’t suspended)
Both Haneda Airport (HND) and Narita International Airport (NRT) are mega world class airports. However, Narita handles more international flights than Haneda while Haneda handles more domestic flights than Narita. Haneda was Tokyo's first airport built between world wars (1931) while Narita was Tokyo's second airport built during the Cold War (1978).
@@theexcitedwanderer, at first, I thought Haneda is regional, but currently, it's world class and used to be regional back in the old days before its upgrades and before the existence of Narita.
@@CrystalClearWith8BE yeah i have travelled more times into haneda than narita and i was travelling on Singapore Airlines which is one of the world’s biggest airlines too. Love haneda airport, like my 2nd home ❤️
