Its fits Zakuro / Renee very well since she is the mature one with a flaming hot fashion sense in both the original and the remake.

Most anime songs aren't, if you can believe it. Tokyo Mew Mew was never released in the U.S., though Mew Mew Power obviously was. They are two different shows in their entirety, so yeahhhh.

Just wanted to point out the music wasn't done by 4kids it was done by Takayuki Negishi. He also did soundtracks for these anime/games; Bakugan, Cardfight Vanguard, CardCaptor Sakura, Tokyo Majin, Cluster Edge, Bloody Roar, F-Zero Falcon Denetsu. Lupin the 3rd Dead or Alive.

...Anyone else notice this theme is VERY similar to the theme music to Bloody Roar 3? I'm talking outright ripoff levels of similarity - it genuinely feels like a cover of the BR3 theme. (and yes, this came second - this anime debuted two years after the game released)

Patrick: Uh...I am? ( bad idea, as Sandy promptly backhands him and sends him flying across the treedome ) SpongeBob: Patrick! ( Patrick slams against the dome hard enough to leave a dent and little drumsticks float around his head ) Patrick: Hot wings! ( cut back to Sandy, who rounds on a cowering and terrified SpongeBob ) Sandy: Okay, Pinhead Larry, now you get yours! ( SpongeBob's pupils shrink in fear, he screams and jumps away to avoid it seconds before Sandy's fist obliterates where he was just sitting. Sandy throws her head back and bellows ) PINHEEEEAAAADDDD! ( SpongeBob whimpers and runs, Sandy is close behind. Patrick and SpongeBob come up from under the snow in respective tombstone order ) Okay, SpongeBob, you can be Dirty Dan. I just wanna be Patrick. SpongeBob: Let's get out of here before Sandy wakes up again!
