Akito is easily one of my fav megaten characters ever he means a lot to me and is the silver lining for such a mess of a cramped adaptation. Having read a little bit of the manga myself, the manga's quality of writing and story telling is much better, its setting feels more immersive and allows you to take your time to get to know all of the characters. I really love the anime's redesign tho and I much prefer the anime's characterization for Akito than what it seems to do in the manga. Despite the more poorly presented story, I'm really glad the anime's continuity is the canon one for the Tokyo Revelation series. If i were to make a single correction in the video tho, the manga itself wasnt called SMT Tokyo Revelation, it was straight up "Shin Megami Tensei". I believe because he was confident enough to write his own SMT idkk lol

I have heard from the very few people that have actually gotten their hands on the manga that it's actually pretty cool. Though I doubt most people would be able to check that claim by themselves due to how damn obscure this piece of Megaten history is. Atleast the Devil Children manga has 1 chapter translated and posted online, the Tokyo Revelations manga as far as I know has NOTHING posted online! Also, not gonna. All that gratuitous nudity was REALLY bothering me!

I remember watching that ova years ago.. I prefer the megami tensei ova (the art design is gorgeous in that one). This one... Is fine I guess, the art design of all characters kind of looks like a clamp wannabe, and that dub makes me want to create an abridge version of it (can't be the only one thinking about it?!, Right?! XD). Anyways, thanks for the video!
