hi friends🧡 is anyone sad to see the building go? let me know your thoughts. Also, some of the capsules will be preserved and placed in museums so we will be able to relive the building.

It's definitely a loss but very cool that the capsules will be preserved and accessible to the public.

this capsules look like living modules in the Cyberpunk 2077 game! I advise you this game for interiors, I think it will be interesting for the architect ;-) and I would like to apply the interiors from this game to my house

What an incredible concept! But of course, cool to learn about how it failed. Thanks for providing this relevant and helpful content!

OK, a lot of why the building failed, but a little shy of if the developers ever took into consideration what were the downsides, as with hindsight there were many. Apparently no real thought of as to how this would be a community. How it could be maintained or updated with little discomfort to residents. And tho each capsule could be decorated individually the physical dimensions are the same for all. And "HOA" rules and restrictions- the mind boggles. I'm curious how the developers sold this idea to investors? Then again, Japan, beehive cells for travelers en route, I guess not surprising.

Japanese ways of living always are good precedents in term of the sustainability due to their high capital-land ratio, it is shame to see the failure of such a good concept in real world. But it might be an inevitable consequence of the struggling between the stakeholder profit and building maintenance cost. Though the building is gone, the idea will definitely inspire us in the future.

Hi Ashley Merry Christmas! How are you? I thought this particular video was very interesting to watch! You were adorable as a little girl! I was amused you thought as a kid each apartment unit would be completely different in layout from your own, but was disappointed. (Though now as an adult, you would think it would not be very practical and would be expensive from a construction point of view now?) What do you think of Montreal’s Habitat 67, the futuristic-looking, stacked concrete cubes as a residential building? It had fascinated me as a kid when i saw it passing by the place by car with my family. Oh, you should make a video on your opinions on Montreal’s Habitat 67!

Hi James! Thank you! Merry Christmas to you as well. Happy to hear you enjoyed the video. That's a great suggestion and one of my favourite buildings. I'll look into making a video on the project.

I never knew of this building. What a smart idea. Shame the units could not be detached singularly though, which as you say was a key factor for failure of this. Thanks for sharing Ahsley!

Hi Christian! You're welcome. I know, its such a shame but I'm glad it got built in the first place.

Sorry, listening to a Gordon Lightfoot greatest hits album, and do not have on the sound for your vid. My first impression- they look like front-loading washing machines stacked up. Anxious to watch your vid with sound. Gordo passed away 2 weeks ago. Been listening to him over the past 50+ years.
