Oh, I remember this opening song! I think I was interested in this game when it was on the PS Vita, but I never got it! It's going to be on the Switch now?! Awesome!
I hear the localization was updated. So, no more Fatal Kills (which made me chuckle at first, but quickly grew old)? That was my main issue with the initial version of the game on Vita: the translation was ok, but not great, especially compared to what we were used to with Falcom’s games from both Xseed and NIS America (after a false start with Ys VIII). This being said, I do like Tokyo Xanadu and its Ys-like ARPG mechanics and will likely play it through a third time.
I really loved this game on PS4. Leave it to Falcom to release a Western Port of the first of a series and the continuation of another series in the same month and be confident enough that they'll both do well.
Not every game needs to be dubbed when localized. Besides, dubbing will clash with one scene where a character in a Japanese school reads an English passage in English, how would that work? Also, not even the SAO games are dubbed, and those sell well also.
@@whitewolf3051 They can either dub the scene as is or change it to another language just for the dub. Dubs in the past have done both before. A dub would've gotten more people into the game since not everyone cares for Japanese voices. SAO games would sell more if they were dubbed but Bandai Namco doesn't care about its English fan base.
@@fireguardiancoty Dubbing the scene as is would make it awkward and redundant. Changing it to another language for dub seems like too much work. Doing both means more voice actors to pay, doubt they have money to spare, especially if that means bringing people overseas and paying for their expenses as well. If Bandai didn't care about their English fan base, then they wouldn't have bothered to have the text translated at all, be glad we have that much at least.
