Great story! I was hooked on pills and I am now clean for 25 days and feeling great. I am going to be off Soboxin in 5 days. But its been Jesus that took the urge away and who saved me! Only Jesus can you, both your life, and your soul!

I've been on oxycodone for 10 years. I have more metal in my spine than bone. I can't quit and there's no alternative. Don't ever get hooked on opiates. My withdrawal symptoms feel like I'm being electrocuted.

I’m so sick of these TV doctors being against Suboxone and Methadone. Suboxone saved my life.

I'm a chronic pain patient and have been on opiates for years. I've never abused them, my dose has stayed the same for years. I have an inoperable bone disease and bone splinters around my spinal cord If not for pain meds I'd be in a wheelchair. People need to take responsibility for what they put in their own damn mouths!

Chevy Chase was hooked too! Unfortunately, Opiods completely expand and improve your creativity. My problem was martial arts addiction, and to continue MAs, i needed drugs!

When I was at my lowest with opioid addiction, a ruptured colon was literally ALWAYS on my mind. I once went 21 days without taking a shit. That's right. For three weeks, not a single thing went out. NOTHING! I was so nervous. But I couldn't stop taking over 10, OxyContin 80s a day. That's like 200 regular 5mg Percocets a day. So my gut just slowed to a total standstill. And I had been prescribed powerful laxatives, but they just wouldn't help. I'd drink these wretched saline solutions that were laxatives. Nothing. I even succumbed to sticking a suppository in there. I had to. I was so worried. Though I knew deep down there was a solution the whole time - WITHDRAWALS. You begin crapping almost immediately. After just 18 hours from my last opioid I was filling a bowl up. But to be in withdrawals in exceptionally hard because you're so sick, it's extremely hard to tolerate, especially when you're flush with the best opioids on earth and have 100s and 100s of them. But I cleared my bowels. I eventually weaned my habit and got on methadone (illegally, because I didn't want to go to those sleazy clinics or have my name associated with them) and finally quit. I'm clean today. But I can't believe Arnold's colon burst. That's awful. That's a total impacted bowel. I was 'this' close to being right there in that hell. Thankfully I quit. And it's good Arnold is better, too.

I've had a back operation back in 1975. My back hurt worse and worse as the years went on. I was given nothing for the pain. I ended up in so much pain I couldn't work. Finally I was given hydrocodone which let me do light duty. After several years I was given a higher dose which got me to my 30 years. That meant I could retire. I did and immediately went on total disability. I was offered very high paying jobs but couldn't do them cause of the pain. Now Iay in bed most days, with severe spinal stenosis of the exit forminal openings of both sides. They said they can't operate any more, so what am I supposed to do? No more meds. No life at all. Pain is terrible and my mind can't take it. What am I supposed to do? I'd like an honest answer!

One half of all users will need treatment for SUD? He is nuts! Recovery has become a big business in the US too. This insanity harms people with chronic conditions. Shame on you Dr Drew!

I would be terrified if Dr D was my addiction specialist. He’s way too conservative and closed minded
