So much style. So much precision. So much board control. I honestly don't know how you do it bro. Makes most other skaters look like infants riding their boards.
He does it's just so mellow that he'll bang a bunch of stuff out and you won't even realize it like front three back three back to back never seen that but he does it so mellow that you don't even realize it it's not like he's all amped up just really consistent
Tom is a super nice guy. My 9 year old just got into skateboarding this summer and met Tom at our local park (the one in the video). He was super chill and took the time to talk to a little kid. Skill and class.
DBC..DAILY Blessings Coming! Santa Cruz has the Best, BLESSED, COOLEST GUYS SKATEBOARDING for the TEAM! I like TOM ASTA style, and Love watching the Skateboarding, I wish I was that Good!
Santa Cruz was my 1st board in the early 90’s. Also won a Santa Cruz board years later in a competition. 1 of my favourites along with Birdhouse & 👽 Alien Workshop (90’s)
At the moment I'm riding the 8.0 inch Cosmic Asta pro model, Tensor trucks, Primitive/Marvel Venom collab wheels 52mm, Grizzly grip, Red bearings, and Diamond hardware with the Allen Wrench bolts. I've rode many Santa Cruz decks over the years, always putting out great products. Plus I'm from Long Beach CA and since '96 when I began I mostly rode SC. Supporting a California brand. Right now your team Santa Cruz is stacked with great skaters. Going to be 38 on April 1st and just got back to it after a five year hiatus. Asta is in my top 5 to, a machine with that late '90's steez and vibe, I miss the '90 and mid '2000 skate scene. Santa Cruz so much respect to all the years and dedication you've did for skateboarding.
See people you don’t have to be trendy and go ride a 8.25 and higher just cause your friends ride them when starting to skate for the first couple of years
Asta is Mr Clean. So smooth, dude looks like he was born on his board. I get stoked just watching him doing a smith. Extra points for no skinny jeans and the OG inspired graphic (I just wish that board was a bit bigger!)
it's always a pleasure watching experts talking about their craft. U can sometimes tell they're almost nervous talking about it cuz they don't wanna seem to nerdy about it lol
Asta objectively has one of the best if not THE best style in pro skating. Definitely a GOAT in his type of skateboarding. A true skater's skater for those who appreciate skateboard aesthetics minus any empty hype.
me and asta actually skate relatively the same setup thats sick, nhs deck, thunder hollow lights, diamond hardware (allen key), (i use swiss ceramics), plain black mob, and the only real difference is that he rides rictas, and i use bones, boutta switch off bones soon though, there 103a formula wheels absolutely fucking suck now for powerslides, so i gotta find new wheels, may go for acid or ricta 101a's soon
I can't imagine riding 99 or 101 duro wheels but I'm 41 and my knees are pretty jacked from skating for the last 30 years, gotta stick with some 80-85 duros to cut down the vibration as much as possible.
u should've asked him about whether soreness is a factor for him now compared to when he was younger and what he does to keep the soreness at bay. Does he still skate every day or does he sometimes get too sore and has to take a day off. I heard Nyjah say that he can't skate every day anymore due to body soreness.
Dude, i almost got like the same setup and shit, at least in Size 8.0 deck(blunt tho), same thunders, same size and shape wheele, got mob level gripyness grip...same setup just different brands Also the same shoes, almost forgot
Lol what the hell does that mean. Same setup different brands. Well then not the same setup. If your grip tape isn't Mob then it's not mob type grippy.
@@sussy_bed_stain he could skate any board setup no matter size and brands. Jm not even close to being a pro skater but I can skate any kind of setup .but you can't say you basically have the same set up because you don't.
@@Vmoreta1 it depends, some people are super psyco about their setup, others don’t care. I basically can’t tre or nollie heel, or regular heel even on a board larger then 8.25 I think a better statement would have been, I have a very similar feeling setup, that he probably could skate without finding it very different from his regular setup
How long do your bones bushings last?? 1 or 2 sessions / 1 or 2 months ? I’m not a pro or anywhere near it but I quit using those bushings cuz up here in Canada they’re 20$ and only last me 2 or 3 months. Pssss……he needs Indy trucks/bushings 😉
Your experience lines up with other Bones bushings users. They don’t last at all, but for the short time they last, they’re great. I think for those who have disposable income and like the luxury of having them just buy and replace them every couple months. I used to run them, but now I just run stock bushings but I do a lot to break them in properly. 👍
Couple months. A lot of them (30% probably) has manufacturing defects and cracked after 5 sessions or more. Some without defects last longer then 2 months. Around 4-5 months no impact stuff.
