@@kennethcrosby9600 Montana was on a pre-salary cap team. The teams that could be built before the salary cap were insanely talented compared to their competition. Also, when Montana played when the NFC won 13 straight Super Bowls and many of them were blowouts. The AFC was absolute trash in the 80s and early 90s, so once an NFC team got there it was almost an automatic win. These were the Super Bowl scores in that time period. 38-16, 46-10, 39-20, 42-10, 20-16, 55-10, 20-19, 37-24, 52-17, 30-13, 49-26, 27-17, 35-21. Only two Super Bowls in the 13 game stretch were even close. The NFC Championship game in Montana's time was the Super Bowl, because the winner of that won the Super Bowl.

To those who think TB wasn't the reason they went and won the SB then you seriously underestimate leadership and probably wasn't in the military. Tom Brady rallied and inspired his men and they saw his leadership and rallied around him. When you have a HOF quarterback who's know for delivering then everyone can play different and with confidence.

Yep 100% right. Media and regular fans only look at the crazy top plays without realizing the game is won before you snap it. Ever realize that Mahomes hardly/never audibles, calls blitzes, etc.? When they got punched in the mouth they had no adjustments and their young qb was exactly that...a young qb with elite talent but not able to adapt to beat the same cover 2 man all game long. Brady was prepared, while the others guys arrogantly doubted the Bucs.

..and Tom didn’t just win a super bowl as Acho said, he won a very difficult super bowl. Sure he had a home field advantage, but his team was the underdog and he was facing the reigning Champions who all of the media thought were going to repeat against the best QB in the NFL. Everything and everyone were against the Buccaneers, yet Tom still helped get that team in sync and come to together as champions, totally shutting out one of the highest scoring offenses and ABs in the game today. No TDs for KC, yet Tom found the end zone three times and playoff Lenny scored the fourth YD to cap off a brilliant post season for Fournette. Tampa had all of the offense that night and Mahomes spent the entire night running for his life. They said he ran like 4009 yard laterally trying to escape the Tampa rush, yet Tampa ran very few blitzes. Their front three were able to get that pressure with some help from the LB that didn’t drop into coverage. JPP, Shaq Barrett, Ndamukong Suh and Veta Vea

I think most people want the confetti, the ring, the trophy. And I think Brady likes those things too. BUT I think actually enjoys his pre-season prep. He likes working out, getting/staying in shape, watching films for 6 hours a day, eating well, getting rest ... basically, being disciplined. He loves it all. He loves doing all of the work, and the championships necessarily follow.

Football is not like basketball or soccer or even hockey. Attack and deffense are not connected and fluid. That means that you technically can't and/or don't need a star MVP greatest of all time QP-you just need a QB that is good enough-everything else is a chess game, acquisition and placement. In football the QB can't make a major difference like a star striker/winger/point guard like Christiano Ronaldo, Jordan, Kobe, Messi etc. For some strange reason the thing people focus on the most the QB is not the major factor in football. I mean think about it, there are offensive plays in football that don't even require the QB in anyway. The US military is heavenly in bed with football, ergo the national anthem controversy and flyovers, It's not an accident that the "Pariots" are the most wining team in NFL history. Intelligent owners only have to use game theory via acquisition to make sure that certain team wins, not counting the numerous time brady has been caught cheating. The thing is all NFL owners win in the end, not just the winning team. Brady was picked, nothing more!

Tom Brady isn't the most physically gifted. Physicality is only one aspect of sports. Intellect is also a vital component. Poise and self-confidence are others. He's unmatched in those domains in sports.

@@deciuswtasby they had talent, but they wanted to send gronk to Detroit and they also cut AB even with TB vouching for him. those guys plus Edelman and some role players is all TB12 needed. Patriots also had an amazing defense, even better than the one he has at Tampa. had Belichick not wasted away that 2019 season and Patriots would be playing against Rodgers this year for a three peat.
