Coming from a Bears fan, I thought that was holding and the chains should have been moved to the goal line. But it was made even worse that they threw the flag and then picked it up. As for the "uncatchable" defense, if you've seen Gronkowski play, you would say that he could have caught that ball.
James Harrison It was still a holding penalty or a PI it was a little uncatchable but it was similar to what happened to Michael Crabtree in last year's Super Bowl
codyrl95 What about Talib's foul play? What about that player purposely bending his leg to catch Johnson's leg to hurt him? What about the around-the-neck shit the Pats did with the Saints? Yeah, fucking suck it up, what goes around comes around.
Alsax1985 You can see on every offensive play that someone holds a defensive player by the neck and it doesn't get called. It happened to Vellano earlier in the game.
Hahaha… Well it became uncatchable when the defender grabs his arms and pushes him back! hahaha… That's a Big Penalty right there if I ever saw one!!! They threw the flag because it was clearly illegal!!
William Saenz WEll, that may be so, but I still think that's total bullshit that defenders are allowed to wrap their arms around a receiver like that and push them back, especially when the ball was clearly thrown to him!! That should be a penalty all the way around! Period. The NFL needs to change this rule… I never knew defenders could blatantly grab a receiver, wrap their arms completely, then push them away from the ball… That's nuts!!!
Mike Kollin there was an instance this week when they were playing at home where a Broncos defender was basically getting a piggy back ride and they still didnt call it!
Lol a typical Pats homerism response. What if the outcome was different and it was Cam Newton complaining to the ref? Would you still be saying that QB cared that much? Probably not. Typical Pats fan homer.
True that this was a bad call no doubt about it and ive always been a Brady fan my fav QB ever and that tuck rule game was against my Raiders. which we should've went to the Super Bowl that year as well. that was a BS call as well
No explanation to the waiving of the flag, these refs are cowards. Not even a Pats fan but its so obvious they did not want to piss off the home crowd. I'd contend it was close but then again they call things far less than that nowadays so if we are holding it to those standards then its a obvious call.
What's so wrong about tom being upset about the call. Any person would be upset if it affect the outcome of the game. I m not even even a pats fan and I thought it was a horrible call
Brady is a thug. And a dirt bag. Although if Brady ranted like this to Erin Andrews, I bet Erin would not have been as scared as she was of Richard Sherman.
LOL I'm sure that's what Erin SAID, but the facial expressions don't lie, why don't you take a look at the video where 50 cent greeted her with a kiss at a NASCAR event. She backed away from him like he had the plague! If Tom Brady did the same greeting Erin would not have backed away I guarantee you.
Not a Bears fan, I"m a Broncos fan (Yes they lost to the pats this year) But if you look at the date, I made this comment last year, shortly after the Broncos beat the Pats, so your comment is a mute point.
I would have been pissed too. This game costed us the #1 seed and if we had #1 seed we would have beat peyton choke playing at home. SB would have been a close game. All I know is when the patriots can just go 1 year without so many injuries they will win it all.
People may talk and talk but the guy just wants to win, doesn't make him a less great quarterback just because people have their "opinions" simply because some people are butt hurt from the past. His stats says everything alone so I don't know why people really bash him when he just wants to be great. But Everyone can clearly see that was pass interference. To throw a flag and pick it up and leave with out explanation is unacceptable. It was uncatchable because he was being hugged befor it was thrown so there for the interception doesnt mean anything if the flag was thrown. There would be no interception I guarantee if Gronk wasnt held.
FunFact: Tom Brady has never gone more than 3 years straight without making a Super Bowl trip. 🤔Drafted in 00' 6th rd/199th 👇(See below) 01': SB 36 (W)(1st year as starter) 03': SB 38 (W) (Def. Panthers) 04': SB 39 (W) (9-0 playoff career) 07': SB 42 (L) (18-1Only loss of yr) 11': SB 46 (L) (Lost to NYG again) 14': SB 49 (W) (1st SB in 10 years) 16': SB 51 (W)(Leadteam2GCOAT) 17': SB 52 (L)(SB Record 505 yds) 18': SB 53 (W) (6 Rings) 🖐🖕 🐐👑🐐👑🐐👑🐐👑🐐👑🐐👑🐐
Everyone's bashing Brady yet if it was your teams QB or Peyton Manning it's okay right? The ref threw a flag and then picks it up? Don't lie to yourselves, would you get mad if that happened to your team?
I'm not even a Brady fan, I'm from NYC and a Giants fan in fact. I'm being objective, you can't not admire his ability. I don't see this as whining, I see it as a guy who is so intensely driven by the desire to win.
This is why I like Peyton more. After that playoff loss to the ravens he went over, congratulated ray lewis and calmly walked off the field. If theres a bad call he'll ignore it and keep playing. Brady acts so immature about it, peyton doesn't.
He also didn't lose a game due to an obvious non-call. If there was no penalty on that last play, Brady would have never said a thing to the reffs. You're analogy doesn't apply to this situation.
Peyton has had his share of bad calls, trust me. "My analogy doesn't apply" it wasn't an analogy it was the same situation, Peyton gets bad calls all the time. In that same playoff game he threw a pick off a blown pass interference call in the first quarter. They ran it back for a pick six, take back that TD and Denver wins. Brady literally whines about calls all the time and curses/throws helmets when his receivers drop the ball.
You might see it as immature but there is no one in the NFL who wants to win more than Brady. If you watch any interview with one of his teammates they praise him for his desire and intensity. He just wants it that much more than everybody else
Bullshit. Theres a difference between "wanting it" and whining about every call. You think peyton doesn't want to win? he keeps a cool head and doesn't act like a 2 year old when he disagrees with a call. Whining doesn't help.
+axel hose And it was PI and did you know that the same official that picked up the flag and Brady screamed at is the same official that measured the PSI levels at halftime of the AFC championship game this past year? Yep. There was two officials and one of them measured the Pats a little higher and the Colts lower where as this official measured the Pats lower and the Colts higher. Not to mention they only measured four of the Colts balls and all of the Patriots. Conflict of interest much. The real cheaters in this league is the NFL itself.
Cry more Postman. If any other QB did the same yelling as Brady you would call him a bitch/whiner/cryer/etc. but since it's Brady you would be saying he's "being competitive" #PatsFansDoubleStandard #DelusionalPatsFans
This is definitely prejudice, but that other guy is racist, he's talking about black superiority. Race should never have been brought up in this, it has nothing to do with race. Show us all a black player being fined, suspended, and talked about for two weeks for doing the same thing Brady did and maybe you will have a point.
When you have the heart of a champion you just can't stand down. Frankly, Tom Brady has earned the right to say whatever he wants when it comes to football. Frustration simply means you care. Were the refs afraid to make the call?
I am a chiefs fan don't care about either team lets knock off the black qb thing cam is a very good qb it just happens after you win 3 super bowls you get a lot of the calls Manning gets the same calls his way. I was just watching the call and if you are not going to make the call then keep the flag in your pocket don't throw it at all. I thought it was pass interference but it could have not been called at all. If he would just not thrown it would have turned out better for everyone involved
Lets see Tom Brady: 3 Superbowl rings 5 appearances Peyton Manning 1 ring 2 Superbowl appearances and usually 1 and done in the playoffs you tell me who's better
Fyi They went 16-0 after spygate still make the playoffs every year the difference between spygate and any other team is that they had video you think Aaron Rodgers and the packers didn't know the sign urlacher used for a cover 2 defense
***** It's the curse of the 3 superbowls in 4 years.... cowboys haven't won a superbowl since '94-'95 That's about to be a two year run. I don't even think they've made it to the superbowl since. But to answer your question The Pats haven't won one since. Not due to spygate though. It's because we won't pay people and they leave.
***** yea yea I bet you my life savings you would take Tom Brady over romo anyday you would be a fool to think otherwise and all that spygate talk doesn't bother me a bit cus at the end of he day we still got 3 rings Tom Brady still has been to 5 superbowls and has more playoff wins that any qb in the league history I understand why your hating cus we have something you want Brady and Belichick And Robert Kraft a team that cares about WINNING not the entertainment of the business like jerry jones said after that den game haha you jelous bro but im not mad at you I understand your situation....alth
Can't reply to @SteelCity1981 directly for some (probably Google+ related) reason, but actually buddy, the Pats beat YOUR Squealers in that year's AFC Champ game! Oakland was the previous round. Now go have fun reminiscing on that.
