There are many words that one could use to describe our beloved Thomas Lee Bridegroom. When speaking of him, people consistently refer to him as one of the kindest, most vivacious people that they have ever known. Tom was indeed kind to every person that crossed his path, and he was indeed a genuine lover of life.
Tom was born and raised in Knox, Indiana, and attended the prestigious Culver Military Academy for high school, where he excelled academically, musically, and athletically. After graduating from CMA Cum Laude, Tom spent a year abroad in England as part of the English Speaking Union student exchange program before he enrolled in Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY. At Vassar, Tom trained in voice and piano and developed skills that continued to grow throughout his life.
Although successful in his academic career at Vassar, Tom made the decision to leave school early and pursue his true calling: a career in the entertainment industry. Tom's life in LA flourished with success, starting with his debut as the "Boy Next Door" in Teen People to founding successful business ventures including "iMusic Daily" and Bridegroom and Bitney Public Relations.
For most of us that knew Tom, we also knew Tom as Shane's caring and loving life partner. The two of them were almost always together, embarking on travel adventures and career endeavors together, inspiring and guiding each other in all of their ambitions. Their relationship was a blessing, to the two of them and to everyone who had the great privilege of knowing them.
Tom lived as we all should -- shamelessly, laughing loudly, smiling largely, extending his talents and time to his friends, believing in himself, and always loving. Tom once described himself as "a small town boy with both feet firmly planted on the ground." The only thing small about Tom was that town he came from in Indiana.. For all that knew Tom, you know how truly blessed you were to have the honor of his incredible friendship, and there is no doubt that he was truly an exceptional soul.
