I agree. fallout had better stunts probably but this one. I Enjoy it more, just because was laughing soo much. long movie but barely noticed. I honestly think it's a great balance between having a good time and nail biting scenes. that said I do believe that that one dramatic scene had little impact and was hard to sell with the tone the movie wa developing

@@leopeper5874 Uhm...I'm old enough that I saw that movie when it came out but I don't remember any such connection. Not saying your not correct, but my point was a direct connection with the primary actor to his recent works, an easier connection to make.

BUT when the MI theme kicked in before they went backwards and sideways into that tunnel it was AWESOME

Which is a huge problem for this movie. Mission Impossible isn't supposed to be slapstick comedy. It damaged the movie.

It wasn’t, it was very awkwardly paced and introduced no new concepts from the previous car chases in the past few films, apart from it being a fiat, which is used more so for comedy that falls flat than being a tense sequence.

The scene cleverly pits two characters together who have to collaborate in order to succeed...two characters who do not trust each other but yes, we have seen that in a previous Mission movie. Not. Awkwardly paced is just plain bullshit. Said by many who understand little about film making and need to cling to certain cliches to make them sound knowledgeable.

The problem with the fast series is that it went too over the top, and too unrealistic, with lack of stakes, killing the quality of the franchise. And “awkwardly paced” is a thing, believe it or not, and it tends to be avoided by most directors within action. It tends to happen within long action scenes, when like I said, the scene introduces no new concepts within the scene when the fight goes along, so saying “No this is different, because Grace and Ethan need to work together” like a complete dumbass, is completely wrong because a) it happened before in Rogue Nation with Ilsa so how is that a new concept to freshen up the scene and b) it has nothing to do with the actual combat that the scene provided. Weaponising concept is such an important thing within sagas to keep them fresh and if u think I’m making up words, search up Filmento John Wick 4 and the title literally disproves that call. John Wick 4, while also having long action, is remarked as having some of the greatest action of all time, because it introduces new concepts like Dragons Breath Shotgun that create uniqueness and divide each action beat into three acts, that shows John Wick in a different position than before despite it being the same setpiece, keeping a 10 minute action scene fresh throughout all of its duration. Compare that to this Rome Scene where it’s just a monotonous drone of the same action, with no new concepts within the action to keep it fresh. It’s clear that someone here is just salty IGN didn’t rate this movie a 10/10, and doesn’t have any clue what they’re talking about. Thinking that awkwardly paced isn’t a thing, just proves to me that you are just going to support this franchise no matter how much the quality drops, and thinks he’s hard disregarding a very true statement as bullshit when he himself has no clue what a good action scene is.

I can think of seven action films that beats this one. The entire raid series, fallout was better than this and the entire John wick saga smokes this movie in terms of combat and cinematography.

@@illusion630 I really like Keanu in the matrix and speed but i dislike john wick franchise, honewer i think everyone who say's fallout is better, say that because of Henry Cavill performence, imo dead reckoning have a better plot, acting and dialogues with 15 more minutes of action, the Paris motorcycle chase is awesome and the final fight on the cliff is thats what i want to watch but dead reckoning is a more arranged movie from beggining to end, less dialogues and more action u know, both of this movies with ghost protocol aswell are 10/10 for me but MI:7 it's a little higher

@@cruzen0 Each to their own I guess. I think John wick is one of the best action series of all time but I can understand that people may not like the brutality. I don’t think Dead Reckoning has a good plot at all though, seen as it’s just as a mcguffin chase for 2.75 hours. I can’t be bothered to write another paragraph about how I love John wick 4 and was dissatisfied by dead reckoning, so I want to direct u to a channel called Filmspeak. It has a video reviewing Dead Reckoning and John Wick 4 in a very unique way so I’d recommend checking the videos out. I share most of the opinions with him with both films and he never hates on Mi7, he even watched it twice to try to enjoy the movie. Watch the two videos, because it should give u a better insight on where I’m coming from. Because I love the mission impossible series, I wanted dead reckoning to be good, but it just didn’t do it for me. Again check the channel out, because we have the same opinions.
