This is a great find. Bless you Tom. You and Pete were so great together. Shame on those so called business people who have death on there hands. We will always have the songs and the timeless melodies. Never forgotten. R.I.P to both of you musical angels. And Mike Gibbons too.🙏❤️🎼.x
Sad and tragic story of great musicians being trusting to their art and doing their part but getting lied to and deceived by people who would take advantage of innocence and trust, and steal their money, their souls and ultimately their will to live!
😢😢💚💛😢😢💟🎼🌻🎵🌷🎶🌹💖👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
It must have been a real shocker for Tom. A couple hours before you are talking to your good mate then you get a phone call and find out he is GONE! We are left with the unbearable guilt what could I have said or do to change their mind. I don't think Tom ever worked it out because he too let it grow inside of him and he also check out too soon. Brave men who just didn't know how to stop the pain or despicable Stan Polley.
Tom, the 👍 benefits the channel, shows appreciation. It is not vote in support of or against the content of the video, so never hesitate to give back in the form of a thumbs up! 😃 It means a lot to the video creator and helps with the algorithm.
@@jenneaneleslie1332 Jenneane, first of all, I like your name! Very pretty spelling of that name. The 👍 benefits the channel, shows appreciation. I bought this cd when it came out. I was in a long enquiries queue in the HMV Oxford Street branch, holding the cd when a woman, a good few behind me in the queue, saw the cd in my hand and so she attracted my attention and said "I see you have the same cd as me and I'm in a hurry to get back to work, so I'm wondering if your enquiry is the same as mine?". Yes it was, and no, it wasn't available on vinyl. But as I said to this woman, it's not as if we were both buying the latest Simply Red,or whoever else was big at the time. Two people buying a cd of an interview with Tom, both as the same time, seemed to me to be uncanny! She told me how she was an old friend of the band and had moved from Swansea to London with them. She clearly had loads of stories to tell, but very sadly for me, I lost her number. If you get to read this, my fleeting Badfinger friend/fan, and you recall our encounter, you now know why I never did get in touch. But maybe it's not too late? I'd still love to meet up. If you would respond to this, we could work something out!
When you take your own life, people dont care or realize that to take your own life, your have to be going through so much pain mentally that you just cant bare it no more!! Mentally its exscusiating, like a gnawing inside that so imbairable. People dont see the hurt of that person's state of being.
Apple records n george could have too? Something i always find odd because all of the beatles were known to help there friends quite a bit. Im guessing in the end badfingers destruction was most likely ritual like most celebrity deaths
Today, a youtube "short" had paul discussing Pete and the hit song Paul gave the band (Come and Get It). Paul said it ended sadly as Pete got on top of himself... what does that phrase mean ?
what a great band they were with fantastic tunes, what could've been? the same happened to Queen in their early days, the management team were ripping them off, barry and norman sheffield were driving around in rolls royces and the band were on they're 3rd album and being paid around £30 per week
Go to "Sound Cloud" The full interview that you can only hear part of here conducted by Glenn A Baker is there. You've probably found it by now though.
I respectfully disagree. although I love Harry Nilsons version. After hearing the story behind Pete's addition to the lyrics I can't not favour the original.
@@auramac No. But these managers can be crooked. The take out insurance policy's on these bands. So two members of the same band hang their selves? Maybe one of them but not two.
