As an ultra runner and content creator I enjoyed this very much, great story and very well done. Congrats on that 3rd place and even more on that sub 15, amazing. Even though you served another country, we here in the states thank you for your service in protecting freedom..
Well done for flying the flag for the UK at the elite level, Tom. Personally, I'm a fat (218lb) 49 year old man training for my first 100 mile (flat) race in 2021. All the best.
Tom Evans, ex British Army Captain and current British Trail Savage. That was a fantastic video insight, and what an ending to come in under 15 hours. Mind is fully blown.
Fast forward to 2023 and Tom becomes one of the fastest ever at Western States. Incredible to see at the same time we have Tom, Jim W and Zach all peaking. It's hard not to believe every meaningful record will be broken in the next few years
Tom I remember you seeing that determined racing during the WTC. I def. knew a new rising star was there...I wasn't wrong. Wish you all the best in the Terrex team
Just came across the channel Tom awesome work excited to see what the future brings for you..................come across very humble very genuine and the heart of a lion.............. wish you all the best
I don't know if I will ever run 100miles (max is 100km 😅 doing Oxfam trailwalker) but your journey in just a short time, is admirable. You run the perfect race.
Last year he had some decent races: ultrasignup.com/results_participant.aspx?fname=Chris&lname=Mocko He went full professional running a while ago. Is he injured or anything?
Never a zero you arrived like a shockwave and western states was epic - unbelievable and your attitude and work ethic deserves all the success you have. Thanks for uploading some much needed inspiration and guts 🤘True competitive force now in the world of trail running, up there with Jim 🤜🤛So cool to have a Brit in the elite events, you could even be a Barkley finisher (when it's back)...that's would be amazing. 🙏
@@tomevansultra Do you find it helps with the longer races? I have been using it for shorter higher intensity training sessions when lactate build up will be more. Not on long runs or racing as not at a high intensity.
Mentions he was in the army I was like...oh cool me too infantry private then mentions he was a captain I have to giggle a bit at the first thing mentioned
Hi there, I am getting in touch from The Running Channel as we are putting together a video of our Top 10 Running Documentaries/films. We really enjoyed this documentary and would love to feature it in the video. Would it be ok for us to use some footage from this video? We would just use short clips (up to 30 seconds) from the film and would link to the film in the description box. My email is sarah@therunningchannel.com if you need any more information or have any questions. Thank you!
Times command LT, it not only gives you the time but the date as well! Great when you fall asleep aside of the trail in multi day races and haven’t a clue if it’s Tuesday of Thursday. 😆🏃♂️🏃♂️
Phil Orriss Hey Phil. You ever tried covering a 100 mile race over remote trail terrain when an athlete moves faster than you can transfer between CPs?? Clearly not!
