UTMB 2019 - My First 100 Miler | Harry Runs

Great video, as always! My girlfriend and I had the opportunity to meet and have a conversation with both you and your girlfriend after the Hoka meeting in Chamonix, as seen in the video. Both you and your girlfriend were very friendly and down to earth. You took time out of your busy schedule to have a very pleasant conversation with us. We met many elite athletes during UTMB week but you and your girlfriend were definitely up there as some of the friendliest. We were already big fans of your RU-vid videos but now we are two of your biggest fans. Congratulations on a great first 100 miler. You are an inspiration. I'm 21 yeas old, and I'm falling in love with running. Doing an ultrmarathon is a dream of mine.

This gave me goosebumps!!! you told the story beautifully. I've seen you work so hard through the years, I can't think of someone who is so devoted and loves this sport enough, and great things happen for you, this was a sensational performance.

I can imagine how important this race was for you. Proud of you man, really well done. Feeling so inspired during this hard time. Be well champion!

Emil Zatopek (legendary multi olympic medalist runner) once said: "If you want to run, run a mile. If you want to experience a different life, run a marathon". I wonder what he would have said about ultra marathons.

I can’t imagine that sort of run. I’m literally starting running again after nearly 20 years off, keeping it simple with a Couch to 5k. This sort of ultra running is so impressive!! Well done

I happened to be in Chamonix when the UTMB was on in 2018 - what an event! Great atmosphere and incredible athletes with an amazing sense of comradery. I did a few easy runs around the Chamonix valley and would absolutely love to do one of the UTMB series of races one day. Thank you for the insightful, beautiful video and hope to see you back there in future years. Felt a bit emotional watching for some reason :)

I'm 14 and I love long distance running, when I was 13 I ran s marathon just for fun, next year I'd like to do a 50 km Run and probably also a 70 km. I'm not allowed to start at official races, cause I'm too young for the long distances, but when I'm old enough (I think you must be 18 to be allowed to start) I will apply for a start placement at the UTMB.
