It’s so wonderful that a fragrance review can be elevated to the level to which you create them. I’m making my way through some of your older videos and I’m just so blown away. I know to a great extent, you probably do this for your own creative release, but I’d like to say thank you. I hope you see this comment even though it’s two years after the video was released.
Oh George, where to start?! Spinny bottle and dancing Chad - definite highlight! You really nailed the essence of Oud Wood and I agree with every point, even preferring the 50ml. The stedicam/gimbal, the colour grading, the walking and talking. Loved every aspect. This was a wonderfully made video and I can't wait to see more!
Could be the greatest male fragrance i’ve ever owned and i must have bought over 200 in my 35 years of collecting and ive sampled even more. Masterpiece imo.
I’ve watched most of your vids now, sir, and I know this is almost 1.5 years old, but dude! I really really appreciate the production quality of these videos, they’re so much more interesting than your “average” review. Bravo.
This is the best fragrance review I've ever seen. Oud Wood crept up on me, nobody told me about it, it wasn't advertised, but I tried it and my God it stayed with me for days. I couldn't stop thinking about it. I've since bought it, the 100ml which I got for £190, and I'm half a bottle deep and I'm certain that it's the best fragrance out there.
Brilliant video as ever mate. You mention about knowing which discounters to use for good deals etc.. could you be more specific? I’m always paranoid about fakes and would love some expert guidance as to which discounters are legit trustworthy!
Oud wood is the best frag ever made in my opinion. It is the closest thing to a signature scent for myself. 3 bottles down and I never want to be without it. I'm tempted to buy a flacon of it.
I smelled Oud Wood on paper many times and hated it every time. Yesterday I sprayed in on my shirt 4 times at Sephora and went home unimpressed. Tonight, I smelled that shirt... I began crying and orgasming as I laid on the floor with the shirt pressed firmly against my nostrils. Best damn thing I've smelled to date.
George what's the music at the beginning...Autechre/Aphex Twin or other??...oh by the way glad to see the best fragrance reviewer back...love the production on your videos mate and the dancing Chad was trippy as fuck..
You say if you know where to look you can get it for 90-110 pound. Where might that be? I tried everywhere and can't get it for less than 130 pound 50ml
Holy shit man Here is 6:48 am here I was doing my laundry Am i first? I rushed as soon as i saw you I missed you man And i want your top 10 winter fragrances haha
I also preffer the 50ml bottle over the 100ml but its just not worth buying the 50ml one. Somehow the 50ml is even more expensive than the 30ml one per ml
That was entertaining. I like the dude dancing as well. So true that using a tab is a bad idea. I bought the White Suede, and Noir De Noir because of a perceived masculine projection on the samples. At home on the skin it is very different. I bought a 50 ML of Oud Wood today. I like very much. Have you done a review of Duc de Vervin, Knize, Pan Caldi, or Macassar?
So happy to see this! Amazing video and the review itself is fucking spot on. Oud Wood is possibly my all time favourite. Tripleinc has been dominating visually but fuck me this was a knockout punch haha
George, you've outdone yourself this time mate. The Parish Church of St. Thomas-the-something thanks you. lol I was going to say, what do ghosts and Oud Wood have in common? They both smell like an old house. In other words, bloody AMAZING. Do ghosts have a smell? I dunno, but I do know that Oud Wood is f**king fabulous. You heard me. All age communion.
Do they make lots of fakes of this cologne like they do with many of the popular frags? Meaning if intey to find it cheaper on eBay, do I have to have to play CSI when buying or am I safe ?
So this fragrance is going back to the mid century? I thought guy many of the older colognes now smell dated and old. Btw. I’m a young boomer and was aeound when I became a young adult and wore many of the classics from those days.
I've been listening to your review as I'm wearing OW for the first time. I believe not all scents need to be beastly to get the point across. Subtle, beautiful, powerful, sexy all in one.
For a moment there, I thought it was Derren Brown/Bill Bailey giving his take on Oud Wood for a Netflix special!!! You need to be on TV man not YT!!!!!
You deadass had to drop a Klyntar reference and then a Roman Reigns one at the end, hahaha. Great stuff as always! Lovely takes on Oud Wood, as well as scenery barring AGentlemansJourney. :P Salute! =]
I loved your intro! Great review and beautiful shots! But i really cant understand the 8:25 to 10:25 footage...i was hard to watch that part. I hope everything will go as you wish to. Oud wood is one of my most complimented work scents btw.
Ayo. That was some Acid flashbacks. My audio and video that was *supposed* to be there wasn't usable so I just made that crazy stuff up, it's the narration that's important. Thought I'd explained that in the vid? Apologies if it wasn't clear.
Fantastic review as always, perfect balance of entertainment and information. I was wondering if you have managed to get a sniff of the new and mass advertised "alien mugler" and if you have what your thoughts may be?
If I ever procure a bottle of Tom Ford Oud Wood for myself, I will be stealing a flag from a golf course and striking a triumphant pose; after seeing it done, it seems only right.
Very nice review, but who and the hell was that creepy guy, doing creepy things, at the Intermission? Very unsettling, but an Intermission is a novel idea when it comes to a fragrance review. LOL! Anyway, I like Oud Wood but performance is a underwhelming in that is lasts an abysmal 2-3 hours on my skin, and there are so many better options (like Tobacco Vanilla and Tobacco Oud) in the TFs private blend lineup IMO. Cheers!
Stunning shit my son!! Stunningly phsycadelic man! Loved the video, not a big fan of the juice personally, i have a decant of the vintage stuff from years ago but find it fairly meh tbh.
Great review . Just rewatching . Is weird that you bunch Roman holiday , streetcar and rebel without a cause in to a bunch . A bit like saying ‘the films that come to mind are Truman show , seven and secrets and lies ‘ And noir era was primarily the 40s x
